The RayGel closure, with its revolutionary PowerGel sealing gel, covers and seals the joint quickly and easily, saving both time and effort. PowerGel sealing gel is rated to 90°C continuous temperature and is halogen-free with an unlimited shelf life.

HIGH PERFORMANCE

RayGel is qualified to CENELEC HD623, the European specification for buried applications. This includes a three week heat-cycling test with the joint immersed in one metre depth of water.

EASY TO INSTALL

Closing the rugged RayGel closure is literally a snap. The short lengths also allow for installations in cramped locations. No special tools needed, no rip cords to break, and no trimming, mixing, pouring, or heating is required. RayGel can immediately be put into service.

AS/NZ4702-2000 PENETRATION TESTOne of the most important requirements of AS/NZ4702-2000 is that cable cover must pass a penetration test, where a specifically designed dart of known weight is dropped from a predetermined height through 125 joules of energy, representing potentially catastrophic damage to the cable cover. The cable cover passes the test only when the dart penetrates it by less than 50mm. Confusion is created with the reference to thickness of material. Cable cover to AS/NZ4702-2000 standard does not adhere to a thickness, it is determined by strength resulting from the penetration test.

These concentric stranded conductors consist of tinned strands of copper-bonded steel which protect and conceal the internal tinned copper strands. They function as copper conductors, but appear to be non-copper conductors and are difficult to cut and steal. Ideal for exposed electrical distribution grounding leads where copper theft may occur.
