GENERAL NOTES - PLUMBING

1. Provide all labor and materials needed for a complete and properly operational plumbing system

2.. The plumbing contractor is responsible for checking and verifying all conditions and dimensions and for coordination of his work with that of other trades. perform work in an orderly manner and with the least possible interference.

3. The plumbing contractor shall conform to NSF 61 for the water distribution piping.

4. Valves and fittings shall be lead free which means not containing more than 0.2 percent lead when used with respect to solder and flux;and not more than a weighted average of 0.25 percent lead when used with respect to the wetted surfaces of pipes, pipe fittings, plumbing fittings, and fixtures per the "safe drinking water act (section 1417) amended 1-4 2011" and other equivalent stat regulations

5. The plumbing contractor shall protect the piping from stress and strain to conform to all applicable codes.

6. All equipment and materials incorporated in this work shall be new unless noted otherwise and shall be current products by manufacturers regularly engaged in the production of the products.

7. All factory applied coatings and finishes shall be provided without rust, scratches, or dents.

8. Provide owner with certificates of final inspections and acceptance from the authority having jurisdiction.

15050 BASIC PLUMBING REQUIREMENTS

1. GeneralA. The owner accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to materials or structures on site, or for the salvage value of

which the plumbing contractor my have reflected on their bid. The contractor shall effectually protect at their own expense, their work, materials, and equipment that is subject to damage during construction period.

B. The plumbing contractor shall file, secure, and pay for any necessary approvals, permits, and inspections.C. All systems shall be tested in accordance with the requirements of all federal, state, and local authorities having

jurisdiction.. the plumbing contractor to coordinate tests with local officials.D. Prior to testing, the plumbing contractor shall make all system adjustments required for proper operations.

2. Scope of workA. It is the intent of the drawings and specifications that he plumbing contractor shall provide a working installation

complete in every detail, and all items necessary for a complete installation shall be furnished whether of not specified or shown on the drawings.

B. Upon completion of the work, all equipment shall be thoroughly cleaned and left in first class condition.C. The contractor shall be responsible for the start up of all systems.D. The contractor shall build into his work all sleves, anchors, inserts, chases, recesses, openings, etc. necessary for

installation of the plumbing work unless otherwise noted. The plumbing contractor shall provide information as to the location of such items to the general contractor or construction manager prior to construction.

1. Scope of WorkA. The work of this contract includes the furnishings of all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary for, and

reasonably incidental to the installation in place, finished complete, unless otherwise noted, of all electrical work in accordance with the specifications and drawings.

B. Provide all testing of all equipment installed under this section and adjust the operation of such equipment. Systems shall be left in perfect operating condition.

C. Upon completion of the work, all equipment shall be thoroughly cleaned and left in first-class condition.D. This contractor shall be responsible for the protection of all equipment under this section until the final acceptance of the job.

2. RegulationsA. The electrical installation shall meet the latest requirements of the national electric code. In addition, state, municipal or

other authority laws, rules and regulations applicable to the work shall be followed.B. Secure and pay for any and all permits and inspections required by any of the foregoing authorities, and pay all other

costs in connection with the work. Upon the completion of the work, secure certificates of inspection from the middle department inspection association. All certificates shall be in triplicate and shall be delivered to the architect and shall become the property of the owners.
