Pirozhki Pelmeni Borshch

Generic word for individual-sized baked or fried buns stuffed with a variety of fillings.

Dumplings consisting of a filling (various kinds of meat) wrapped in thin, unleavened dough that originated in Siberia and is a dish of Russian cuisine.

Soup of Ukrainian origin which is popular in many Eastern and Central European countries. In most of these countries it is made with beetroot as the main ingredient giving it a deep reddish-purple color. In some countries, tomato is used as the main ingredient, while beetroot acts as a secondary ingredient.

Irkutsk is an administrative center of Irkutsk Region (Russia), one of the largest cities in Siberia.

It was founded in 1661 by Cossak Yakov Pokhabov.

Irkutsk is situated on the Angara River, which is the only river to flow out from Lake Baikal.

Irkutsk is a cultural center of East Siberia. There are many theaters in the city, for example Drama theatre, Music theatre and others.

Besides there are various museums including the Art Museum, Regional Museum of Local Lore and others.
