LONG-TERM PROJECTS: University of California, San Francisco Medical Center: 2010 – 2016 Provide consulting services for the UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay to develop an art master plan and for the acquisition of artworks, including the creation of site-specific commissions at the new Mission Bay Children’s, Women’s Specialty and Cancer Hospitals completed 2015. Artworks by Jessica Stockholder, Spencer Finch, Chris Johanson, Ranjani Shettar, Dave Muller, Mary Temple, Barry McGee, Clare Rojas and Will Rogan have been commissioned. Over 800 artworks have been installed in the three hospitals and a second phase of working with local arts organizations and local artists has been completed. University of California, San Francisco: 1990-2013 Appointed by the Chancellor to develop the philosophy and implement art programs on the Parnassus and Laurel Heights campuses. Projects have included temporary exhibitions of works from museum collections such as sculptures by Rodin from the Fine Arts Museums, Chinese Porcelain from the Asian Museum, and a group of works by Isamu Noguchi from the Noguchi Foundation as well as the commissioning of site- specific works from Bay Area and National artists including Catherine Wagner, Jon Rubin, Rebeca Bollinger, Jim Campbell, Ellen Harvey and Sarah Sze for the campus and purchases of artworks by Bill Woodrow, Robert Arneson and Stephen de Staebler. Advise the Chancellor and Art Committee on procuring donations and purchasing of two-dimensional art for the library and campus buildings. Dublin Fine Arts Foundation and City of Dublin, CA; 1988- 2008 Managed the private non-profit organization to commission permanent works of art, create temporary exhibitions and installations, and art education programs in the schools. Developed Public Art Policy with and for City of Dublin. Established Dublin Sculpture Park and commissions for new Library, bus shelters, and murals for freeway underpasses. Site-specific commissions and acquisitions includes but not limited to works by Peter Voulkos, Ned Smyth, Ned Kahn, Fletcher Benton, Temporary community projects include Get on the Bus & in the Camera, 2008, Dublin Does Art! A Celebration of Public Art, 2005, and Art and the Environment, 1990, 1992, and 1999. San Francisco, CA, 2007 – 2010, Jim Joseph Foundation: Selected art works for offices based on the mission of the foundation including artists, Ori Gersht, Robert Indiana, and Shirley Shor.

San Francisco, CA, 2006, Mother Jones Foundation: Commissioned the photographer, Jim Goldberg, to create a large work for the lobby of their new offices.

City of Pleasanton, CA, 199 –2006: Managed public art projects for Centennial Community Park, Sports Park, public/private projects with Safeway Corp and private individuals.

City of Santa Clara, Ca, 2001-2004: Worked with Public library and Community members to select artists, Barbara Grygutis and Irene Pijoan, to be on design team for new main library and then managed fabrication and installation of artworks.

City of Emeryville, CA, 2001, 2006: Managed public art project for Fire Station #2. and Temporary Public Art Project, Art Along the Avenue, with 15 different artists and installations.

City of Walnut Creek, CA, 2001-2002: Advised Developer in the process of placing public art in major new downtown plaza. City of Richmond, CA; 2001-2002: Advised Developer in the commissioning of art in new shopping center. Town of Tiburon, CA, 2001-2002: Consulted with Arts Commission and community members to select artist for Downtown plaza public art project.

City of Milpitas, CA, 2000-2008: Advised community members in the commissioning of artworks for community parks.

San Francisco Arts Commission, San Francisco, CA, 1988, 1999: Evaluated works by artist Lucien Labaudt, (1988) and assisted Public Art Program on various projects.

MASTER PLANS AND FEASIBILITY STUDIES San Francisco, CA: March-June, 2010, revised, April, 2014: UCSF Medical Center at Mission Bay, Work with Art Committee to create Public Art Master Plan for the Art Program.

San Francisco, CA; March - October, 2007: National AIDS Memorial Grove Public Art Project Feasibility Study, Conducted design and public review process. Santa Rosa, CA; May, 2007: Courthouse Square Competition, part of team of Marta Fry Landscape Associates selected as one of five finalists for the project. Modesto, CA, 2002: Gallo Arts Center, in the design phase, researched and prepared long range plan for visual arts program for new performing arts center completed in 2006. Walnut Creek, CA, 1999-2000: Researched and Prepared Public Art Master Plan for the City. Approved by the City Council.

Dublin, CA, 2000: Project Manager for Heritage and Cultural Survey and Long Range Plan for the City of Dublin, Survey completed and draft written for long range plan.

Directed a department with an annual gross of over $6 million. Supervised a staff of eight in all aspects of the auction process including: appraising paintings, prints, and photographs; soliciting works for auction; producing auction catalogues; designing the advertising and marketing strategy; and working with collectors, dealers and museum staff.
