PA Duties:

First contact for the Head teacher and Deputy, seeing parents on their behalf and following up where necessary. Able to make judgments and decisions quickly and effectively. Dealing with press inquires.

Primary liaison via telephone, personal contact, email, letter or memo. Organise/rescheduling of appointments via email, letter, telephone call or memo.

Administrative duties including opening confidential mail, answering correspondence and emails, typing and producing reports, including HT report to Governors, SEF and SIPS.

Administration of agendas and minutes for all school including H.R. Teacher's Pensions and Governors meetings.

Interpreting, typing and distributing minutes and arranging follow up meetings and/or actions to be implemented.

Liaise with Governing Bodies, PTA and Senior Leadership and organising and corresponding with outside agencies (Police, Fire Brigade, etc) for visits, school assemblies, celebration days and educational purposes.

HR and Administrative duties:

Process applications for employment, sending out appropriate forms, liaising with candidates on interview times and dates. Collating all paperwork, ensuring that all candidates complete any internal assessments and communicating with unsuccessful candidates by telephone or letter.

Administrate weekly staff absence report, liaising with LA HR & ER departments concerning staff/school related issues and advising Head teacher as necessary. Organisation and administration of staff training through external suppliers.

Keep clear & up to date records of internal and contracts meetings, arranging supplier visits and liaising with departments on their requirements. Negotiating enhanced discounts and delivery dates from suppliers.

Hospitality & Marketing:

Organise hospitality, meeting rooms, travel and accommodation.
