Directional Drilling

Directional boring, commonly called horizontal directional drilling or HDD, is a steerable trenchless method of installing underground pipe, conduit, or cable in a shallow arc along a prescribed bore path by using a surface-launched drilling rig, with minimal impact on the surrounding area.

Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) creates appropriate sized pathways that allow utility lines, cables and water or sewer pipe to be “pulled” without disruption to the roadways and sidewalks above. This is also the perfect solution when natural terrain such as creeks and rivers pose an obstacle to underground construction. Lynx Creek utilize the latest in HDD technology to pin point the exact boar path, in conjunction with a trained technician using a superior locating system to pin point the exact location of the buried drill head.
