Laverda is well aware of what combine operators want: productivity, comfort, reliability and service.Every model in the M 400 Advanced Series has been developed to meet the demands of the market with innovation and technical solutions that belong to the exclusive Laverda system: new electronic management thanks to the GTA II terminal for full and complete control of machine operations; new ergonomic multifunction lever built into the armrest for maximum ease of use; new emission level stage III/B SCR and DOC technology Agco Sisu Power engines designed for low fuel consumption, maximum economy, long life and reduced emissions; the Free Flow cutting header, for simpler and more profitable harvesting; the GSAX Ground Self Alignment Extra, for smart cutting; the PFR Prepare and Feeding Roller, for ideal feeding; the MCS Plus Multi Crop Separator Plus, for gentle but efficient threshing and separation. An effective headerwith great performance.
M 400 Advanced Series Laverda combines are equipped with the Free Flow cutting header to ensure continuous feed and uniform cutting even in difficult conditions.The header’s top features (large-diameter auger, sturdy frame, newly designed pickup reel and tines), integrated with the exclusive GSAX electronic system, offer better performance with easier operation and less maintenance.

Large-diameter auger with larger flighting allows for increased and improved feeding capacity.
Open-profile frame: provides better visibility (facilitating crop flow control) and improves the handling of long-stemmed crops. The frame is designed to simplify hitching and unhitching the cutting header.
Hydrostatically driven pickup reel (located on the right side) with a reel tine bar adjustment device, newly designed tines and anti-clogging blades. The results are: simplified drives, improved balance and practically zero maintenance, plus improved efficiency of the pickup reel even in laid crops.
Header/machine coupling: the cutting headers are hitched by a centralized multiple coupling for all electric and hydraulic controls. This makes hitching a quick, simple and precise operation.
GSAX, Ground Self Alignment Extra: automatically maintains the cutting height and monitors the headers position when cutting at ground level. The GSAX levels the cutting header across the ground and lengthwise, thanks to two systems that work in two height ranges (50 to 200 mm for short-stemmed crops, or 100 to 500 mm for taller crops). The large Easy Reverse skids with rounded edges, located beneath the table, offer accurate control and easy operation even in reverse.

The solution that elevates productivity.
Ideal threshing requires good preparation and consistent crop feeding.
The long crop elevator, with large intake, is designed to improve the performance of the machine with a greater capacity, a smoother crop flow and the possibility of coupling with larger headers and offering the operator better visibility from the cab. Header lift capacity is improved with the new lift cylinders lifting capacity up to 3,000 kg.
The PFR (Prepare and Feeding Roller) system, based on a roller fitted with retracting fingers at the entrance of the elevator channel, is another solution to ensure the continuous and even flow of crop from the cutting header to the threshing apparatus. The advantages are plentiful: more regular threshing, constant levels of combine performance, lower power requirements, reduced fuel consumption and longer lasting drives. The benefits are obvious both for your work and for the environment.

The ballast bars give the beater a fly wheel effect and reduce the space between one bar and another; this makes beating extremely regular and means that even delicate straw and maize are processed gently.Moreover, the concave is adjustable electrically front and rear independently from the cab. This allows the combine to quickly adapt to different types of crop in all conditions.

MCS Plus
A choice advantage:two efficient separating systemsin a single machine.
The best performance is obtained from a combine when the grain is separated from the straw before the crop reaches the straw-walkers. The Multi Crop Separator Plus (MCS Plus) subjects the crop to a forced separation action but can be deactivated if the crop is delicate with easily broken straw. This exclusive system, which is covered by a patent, allows the separation capacity to be varied to suit the type of crop and its condition.The system maximizes output in all crops and conditions by effecting maximum separation whilst maintaining straw in excellent condition for baling. The operator can switch from an aggressive threshing action to a more delicate one several times a day, by simply pressing a switch. A truly all-purpose system for the M 400 Advanced Series: it is two separation systems in one. MCS Plus: a further advantage for increasingly higher performance.A really remarkable “extra feature” is present with the REV module in the MCS system. Laverda’s REV module increases the separation area by 20% and widens the wrapping angle to 120° while getting the most out of the full length of the straw walkers when using the MCS in the withdrawn position.

A levelling system with a technology peak.
Models M 410 ADV LC, M 400 ADV LC and M 400 ADV LCI (Integral) stand out for Laverda’s exclusive, patented, lateral action levelling system, based on 2 movements: machine body levelling, and table levelling.
The lateral levelling system uses two reinforced joints that provide lateral adjustment of the machine on slopes. This is achieved using electrohydraulics.
This enables transverse levelling of the machine up to 20% and makes it possible to work on European slopes in optimum conditions, assuring high performance in total comfort and with the maximum safety.
Safe and agile where others stop.
Excellent stability and minimal soil compaction are guaranteed by large tyre fitment (800/65 R32), and the new lateral levelling system reduces outer dimensions to just 3.50 m, for road transport even on narrow carriageways. External dimensions can be reduced even further to 3.30 m by selecting optional front tyre sizes (710/75 R32 or 650/75 R32).For steep slopes, strong final drives receive and transmit high torque for maximum traction and power on all ground conditions. The new final drives, equipped with 10 bolts, are a Laverda exclusivity, standard on the three models.

Exceptionally agile and comfortable to use on all typesof ground, Laverda’s M 400 Advanced LCI (Integral) combine provides unique high capacity on marginal sloping ground. Laverda M 400 Advanced LCI (Integral) offers a perfect positioning and extremely precise and reliable levelling system. Thanks to sophisticated engineering, the combine can work on lateral slopes of as much as 20%, up to 30% uphill and 10% downhill. 4WD on Laverda’s M 400 Advanced LCI (Integral) guarantees optimum control over the vehicle even on the most difficult ground and in the most adverse conditions. Along with integral levelling, the four-wheel drive achieves a sort of “dual integral function” that allows the machine to work in all directions and over vast areas, making successive straw harvesting operations much easier to deal with.

Maximize your productivity.
Let the statistics talk. The M 410 Advanced and M 400 Advanced have a 9,000 litre grain tank, while hillside models have a newly designed 8,600 litre tank. All models have a discharge rate of 105 litres/sec. Features which allow for considerable daily productivity of these machines.
The turret unloader auger, positioned at the top of the tank where it can be clearly seen in action by the operator, makes filling any size of trailer an easy task.
The comphrehensive lighting system with H9 headlights allows you to work at night with total visibility for as long as the harvesting conditions allow.

The basic principle for Laverda engineers when designing the operator cab was to create an ideal environment enhancing operator comfort and efficiency. The M 400 Advanced Series Commodore Cab II is at the top in terms of rational controls, comfort and ergonomics. In detail

If the large monitor attracts your attention with its colours and functions, the real innovation lies in its capability. The system not only manages the exclusive levelling system but also offers machine settings and machine monitoring. It has the possibility to store data on SD memory card.
The “Ceres 8000 i” on-board computer is also available as an option for performance and recording output levels and moisture of the crop in real time while harvesting. This is equipped with DGPS technology.

Power that’s good for saving and the environment.
To get the very most out of the M 400 Advanced Series combines, we have chosen the new emission level stage III/B Agco Sisu Power engines designed for low fuel consumption, maximum economy and long life.
These engines have SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) and DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalyst) technology, which reduce atmospheric emissions with no negative effects on operations and maintenance just more efficient fuel use. The electronic system controls power in an intelligent way, providing extra power in difficult working conditions.
Motor
Behind all this innovation solid “made in Laverda”.
Drives for the header, threshing system and hydrostatic unit, located on the left side of the machine, are strong and reliable. Each part is sized to performance, from the large diameter pulleys to the multiple belt drives. Strong components guarantee durable high performance even in difficult conditions.
The exclusive, new reverser for header and elevator has three times the power of the traditional system. This makes unblocking smoother and easier for the operator, while improving the system’s efficiency and increasing work safety.
The hydraulic system is equipped with a new pump linked with the hydrostatic pump to provide direct hydraulic power with maximum efficiency and no power loss.

A perfect addition.
Manufactured in the Breganze factory, Laverda’s straw chopper is a perfect match to all the combines made by Laverda. It is activated by a hydraulic mechanism and can be used for all crops. Available with a 64-bladed rotor for machines with six straw walkers and with 52 blades for machines with five straw walkers, Laverda’s straw chopper efficiently chops the straw thanks to adjustable serrated counter-blades on both sides and the characteristic adjustable dimpled base plate.To ensure that the straw is spread evenly across the whole cutting width and preventing it from dropping back on to the crop still to be harvested, Laverda’s straw chopper has adjustable deflectors that can be governed by either a mechanical control or straight from the cab electrically (optional). If the straw is to be baled, Laverda’s straw chopper can be deactivated by simply moving the deflector which disengages it.To ensure effective distribution of the residues from the sieves Laverda offers another important accessory: the chaff spreader, which can be quickly adjusted to suit crop conditions. Chaff is spread in an efficient manner thanks to the twin fan action.

Everything in the new M 400 Series is designed to facilitate maintenance based on principles of rationality: the large side doors can be opened completely to access the drives and internal components; the quick-release rotating filter allows easy access to the radiator, the oil cooler and the condenser for the air-conditioning system. No less than 80% of the sheet metal use is galvanized, to ensure a long-lasting service life.Quick daily servicing with the large-capacity stone trap with its large opening allows complete discharge and quick and easy access to the grain pan.
