Mother/Son Event:
Just a reminder that forms and payment are due by this Friday,
March 22 for Mother/son bowling event to be held on Friday
April 5, 2019, from 6-8pm. Come join us for a wacky good time
at bowling night out!!! Please see attached flyer in newsletter!

Love you to the moon and back is this year’s theme! Please see

Capp’s Pizza Night:
Mrs. Ferguson’s class won the March Capps Pizza Night
contest. They won a pizza party for having the most orders! The
PTO earned $149 from the total purchases! The next Capps
Pizza Night is April 8th so mark your calendars!
PTO New Purchase:
At the last PTO meeting a vote was taken on spending money
on two new water fountains with bottle fillers. These fountains
also have a filter. They have been ordered and will hopefully be
installed once received but depending on timing it may not
happen until Summer break. Please remember that by
supporting the PTO, you are directly helping to make positive
changes directly to the school such as this one.

and please consider being a part of the Munson PTO Board!
We are specifically in need of a Treasurer and a Vice President

Munson Elementary PTO Nominations & Elections for 2019-2020
We are the Munson Elementary PTO (Parent Teacher Organization). We say "we" because all of us are members of the MPTO. Just by being a parent or guardian of a student here at Munson makes you a part of the MPTO. There are no dues or fees to be in the MPTO—it is Free! We have the very important roll of enhancing and enriching every child's experience at Munson Elementary. We do this through our fundraising, many student and family focused events and by providing curriculum-based assemblies and necessities.
We look forward to getting to know you and to help guide you in your participation in a way that is not only rewarding but that best suits you, your family and your schedule! It is the goal of the MPTO, to ensure that our Parents and Teachers are aware of the activities happening around them to make the experience for our children and teachers a better one. Please consider getting involved with MPTO. We need your support, assistance and ideas to help make this year’s events & programs a success! Nominate yourself or someone else. Please provide bio information below. If you have any questions, please contact Kelly Richards at 440-728-0300. Elections will be held at the MPTO General Meeting on April 24, 2019 at 6:30 pm in the APR. You must submit this form by April 17, 2019 to be added to the ballot. You can email this form to [email protected] or drop it off in the office. Per the Munson by-laws, our Vice President has the first option of becoming President the following year. This is to promote continuity and stability within the MPTO. You can nominate yourself for any position, but we are specifically in need of a Treasurer and Vice President for next year.

MPTO currently meets one evening every other month to conduct PTO business. The MPTO Board Members meet monthly. No member shall hold more than one (1) office at a time.

CAPPS Chardon Pizza Nights The 2nd Monday of every month, let CAPPS pizza make “Hump Day” a whole lot easier! Call 440.286.2522 or order
online www.cappspizzachardon.com. For every order placed, Munson will receive a percentage back! PLUS- Tell them your child's teacher’s name when ordering and the classroom who orders the most wins a pizza party!
Box Tops for Education 1. Purchase or check your home for one of the hundreds of products with Box Tops on them. 2. Clip Box Tops from participating products. Every Box Top is worth $0.10. 3. Contests are held throughout the year for collecting Box Tops.
Giant Eagle - Apples for the Students From September 2, 2018 through March 16, 2019, all purchases made with a Giant Eagle Advantage Card will earn points for Munson. Registering is easy. Just follow the following steps:
1. Visit www.gianteagle.com/AFTS 2. Enter your Giant Eagle Advantage Card® number (which appears under the bar code). 3. Enter the school code 0738. 4. Done! Please encourage your extended family and friends to register too.

Heinen’s Tasteful Rewards Members As a member of Heinen's Tasteful Rewards™ Program, when you shop at Heinen's you can help area schools through the school donation program. Up to 1% of your qualified purchases during September to April can be donated annually by Heinen's. The Teaming Up for Education Program is a Tasteful Rewards™ membership benefit and enrollment with your email address is required. Members of the Tasteful Rewards Program are required to RE- SELECT their school every year. To select a school you have three choices:
1. Simply log into your account at https://www.heinens.com/home/tasteful-rewards/teaming-up-for-education/ “Click here if you are a Tasteful Rewards Member”. Simply log into your Tasteful Rewards account with your registered email address and password, select 'My School' from the left-hand menu and select Chardon School Foundation and save changes.
2. Select Chardon School Foundation at any Heinen's Store Location - Customer service booth. 3. Call our Customer Relations department at 1.855.475.2300 Ext 2337.
Office Depot/Office Max – Give Back to Schools
Want to earn 5% in credit for our school to use towards FREE supplies? This program gives you an opportunity to help Munson receive credits for FREE supplies when you shop at Office Depot/Office Max or online for school supplies. When it's time to check out at the cash register or online, give them your school I.D. number 70077020.
Tyson Project A+
Munson is participating in the Tyson Project A+™ program, a fund-raising program sponsored by Tyson Foods, Inc. Through this program, we can raise up to $12,000 for our school this year! It’s an easy way to raise much needed funds by sending Tyson Project A+ labels from products you probably already buy. Here’s how it works: Just clip and collect Tyson Project A+ labels from participating Tyson® product packages and send them to school with your child. We’ll collect the labels and send them to Tyson.
