PTO NEWS

Thank you to all the parents who joined us at the Cask N Flagon on Tuesday night for Parent’s Night Out. It was great to see some new faces! Our capital campaign is the biggest PTO fundraiser (and your membership dues). We are still collecting donations through October 12th. Please consider donating to help fund the many things the PTO sponsors throughout the year. Fall Festival pre-sale tickets are on sale now! You can purchase tickets at https://martinson.ptboard.com/formvw?store=886&form=2 or send a check in with your child labeled Fall Festival. Please be sure to include your email address, students name, teacher and grade. Pre-sale tickets will be sold through October 8th. Please note, there is no physical ticket, your name will be added to the admission list. Finally, PTBoard (not to be confused with the PTO board) is the NEW home for the entire school directory. We know that many teachers collect info for their own class directories, however, this is different. PTBoard is a school wide directory for notifications. Please be sure to sign up online at https://martinson.ptboard.com/home Or, if you prefer to fill out a form, please email [email protected] for a paper form to be emailed to you.

The Front Garden is winding down for the season. This fall, we've been harvesting cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and lots of green beans that were served in the cafeteria. Wednesday, the Cafeteria crew cooked up an eggplant parmesan with the eggplants from our garden. We might get a little more greens into the cafeteria before the weather turns. The season is nearing its end but we're planning for next spring. If you're interested in helping out next spring please contact Marcy Strazer Concannon at [email protected].

Our fall garden season and the healthy plants are due to the awesome crew of summer garden family helpers who kept the garden watered, weeded, harvested and cleaned up for the fall. A huge thank you to: the following families: Biviano, Carr, Mojave, Petrie, Morse, Luongo, Young, Pozerski and McCue.

Notes from the Library The library will be open during curriculum night. Stop by! I can tell you about the books we are reading or answer any questions about library rules or, for 5th grade parents, about eBooks and kindles. Hope to see you!
