1. THE WORK TO BE DONE UNDER THESE SPECIFICATIONS AND THE DRAWINGS CONSISTS OFFURNISHING ALL EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS, LABOR AND SERVICES, AND PERFORMING ALLOPERATIONS TO COMPLETE THE MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION WORK FOR THIS PROJECT.
2. THE TERM "FURNISH" SHALL MEAN TO OBTAIN AND SUPPLY TO THE JOB SITE. THE TERM"INSTALL" SHALL MEAN TO FIX IN POSITION AND CONNECT FOR USE. THE TERM "PROVIDE"SHALL MEAN TO FURNISH AND INSTALL. THE TERM "MECHANICAL WORK" OR "WORK" SHALLMEAN ALL LABOR, MATERIAL, EQUIPMENT, SCAFFOLDING, RIGGING, TOOLS, SUPERVISION,SERVICES AND OTHER INCIDENTALS NECESSARY FOR COMPLETE AND OPERABLEINSTALLATION.
3. ANY CHANGES AND/OR MODIFICATIONS MUST BE REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY THE ENGINEEROR OWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION.
4. THE DRAWINGS INDICATE DIAGRAMMATICALLY THE EXTENT, GENERAL CHARACTER ANDLOCATION OF THE WORK INCLUDED. OFFSETS OR CHANGES IN DUCT SHAPE TO AVOIDSTRUCTURAL OR OTHER INTERFERENCES, AND WORK INDICATED BUT HAVING MINOR DETAILSOBVIOUSLY OMITTED SHALL BE PROVIDED WITHOUT EXTRA COST.
5. ALL DEVICES SHOWN ON DRAWINGS ARE DIAGRAMMATIC IN LOCATION AND SHOWN FORGENERAL WIRING PURPOSES ONLY. ALL DEVICES INDICATED TO BE INSTALLED IN THE SAMELOCATIONS WITH DIFFERENT ELEVATIONS SHALL BE ALIGNED VERTICALLY AND HORIZONTALLYFOR MOUNTING DETAILS OF SWITCHES, OUTLETS, FIRE ALARM STROBES, AUDIBLE & VISUALDEVICES, FIRE ALARM PULL STATIONS, CLOCKS, SECURITY DEVICES, CARD READERS,THERMOSTATS, SENSORS, ETC.; REFER TO THE ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS AND COORDINATEALL LOCATIONS BETWEEN TRADES.
6. ALL MATERIALS, EQUIPMENT, AND INSTALLATIONS SHALL BE IN STRICT ACCORDANCE WITH THE2009 MECHANICAL CODE, 2009 ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE, SMACNA, UL, MANUFACTURER'SRECOMMENDATIONS, STATE CODES, LOCAL CODES AND ALL AUTHORITIES HAVINGJURISDICTION.
7. ALL DUCT DIMENSIONS ARE INSIDE CLEAR DIMENSIONS.
8. ALL NEW DUCTS SHALL HAVE FIRE RATED SLEEVES AND/OR FIRE RATED DAMPERS WHENPASSING THROUGH FIRE RATED CONSTRUCTION.
9. WALL MOUNTED THERMOSTATS SHALL BE INSTALLED 48" ABOVE THE FLOOR AND HANDICAPPEDACCESSIBLE.
10. INSTALL ROOFTOP EQUIPMENT NOT LESS THAN 10 FEET FROM THE ROOF EDGE OR ANYCHANGE IN ROOF HEIGHT GREATER THAN 2 FEET.
11. PROVIDE 4" THICK CONCRETE PADS FOR EQUIPMENT INSTALLED ON FLOORS OR ON GRADE, 6"LARGER THAN THE EQUIPMENT ON ALL SIDES.
12. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FURNISH AND INSTALL ALL EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS, AND LABOR TOPROVIDE A COMPLETE AND OPERATIONAL SYSTEM AS INDICATED ON THE DESIGN DOCUMENTS.
13. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE ALL WORK WITH OTHER TRADES IN FIELD PRIOR TOINSTALLATION OF ANY WORK. REPORT ALL CONFLICTS IMMEDIATELY TO ARCHITECT ANDENGINEER.
14. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE THE ACTUAL LOCATIONS OF ALL EQUIPMENT,CASEWORK, DEVICES, FIXTURES, SWITCHES, SENSORS, ETC., WITH THE ARCHITECTURALDRAWINGS PRIOR TO PERFORMING ANY ROUGH-IN WORK FOR THE UTILITIES.
15. REMOVE ALL TRASH, DEBRIS, AND DEMOLITION MATERIAL FROM PREMISES AT THE END OFEACH WORK DAY.
16. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY FIELD CONDITIONS AT THE SITE AND NOTIFY THEOWNER/ENGINEER OF ANY DISCREPANCIES PRIOR TO COMMENCING WITH WORK.
17. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN ALL PERMITS AND APPROVALS PRIOR TO STARTINGCONSTRUCTION.
