Get to know our teamTo celebrate International Women’s Day on 8 March, we chatted to some women working on the M6 Stage 1 community recreational facilities.

Eliana started in the construction industry three years ago. When asked why she chose construction as a career choice, she told us that she enjoys the creativity that comes with building things – each day is never the same on the road and Eliana loves learning about the various trades on site.

One of Eliana’s roles is driving the water cart truck on our sites – ensuring that any dust is minimised and doing the best we can to make sure dust does not hang around our site and impact our neighbours. She also drives rollers, dump trucks and heavy rigid trucks.

Eliana’s love of driving extends to riding motorbikes and Japaneses sports cars!

Originally from Syria, Nagham has been living in Australia for four years. Nagham studied civil engineering and infrastructure design in Syria, where she worked as a structural engineer.

Nagham has rebuilt her career and network since arriving in Australia. She gained local experience by volunteering with her local Council then started a cadetship with Transport for NSW. She progressed in her cadetship and gained more experience on various projects before coming to work on the M6 Stage 1 community recreational facilities.

Nagham loves the delivery of projects, working on construction sites and facing engineering challenges as a team.
