The Dock Can be customizable to your own preference

Applications Folder Shows what is all installed on the Mac computer Can be accessed from the dock on the far right side
The Apple Menu Same as the Start Button for Windows Located on the upper left corner of the screen Can access the System Preferences from here
Dragging an application to your Dock1. Open the Application Folder2. Select the Application you would like to drag to the Dock.3. Click and hold down the mouse button and drag the application down to
the dock4. After the application is in the dock, right click it and select “Keep in
Dock”
NOTE: Selecting “Keep in Dock” will ensure that if the application is closed, that it will still be in the Dock for the net time you need it again instead of having to restart the process everytime.
