What is a MAC

Multiple Award Contract

• Multiple Award Construction Contract – MACC

• Other types – MASC, EMAC

• Other agencies use MATOC, SATOC, GWAC

Multiple Award Contracts allow the Government to:

• Procure goods and services using streamlined acquisition

procedures through a single solicitation

• Obtain the best value on task orders throughout the contract

period

4 4

• Use pre-qualified contractors in order to sustain competition

• Make awards to several contractors that can complete the

anticipated work

Does not mean the contractor has any work right away

- May have a minimum guarantee

- Has the opportunity to compete for task orders against the

other awardees
