Hoist Kelly above R. Table and shut-off the pump. (If Tripping, position tool joint above table, install Stabbing Valveproperly, Ensure Hole is Full and Shut off Hole fill pump.) Divert flow to Trip tank. Zero trip tank volume indicator.Monitor tank for flow for 5 to 10 minutes. If the Well is Flowing Shut it in Immediately. Record any Trip tank Gains.

PROBLEMS AND SIGNS
FOR ALL
SIGNS (Mainly for Driller's Method First Step)
DPP INCREASES DRASTICALLY. CP REDUCES SLIGHTLY AND PUMP SPEED DECREASE.
PLUGGED NOZZLE
DPP INCREASES: SLOWLY IF ABOVE GAS, RAPIDLY IF BELOW GAS. CP DECREASES AND FLUCTUATES. PUMP SPEED DECREASES SLOWLY.
FLUID RETURNS DECREASE. FLARE DECREASE OR DIES.
DPP DECREASES.CP AND PUMP SPEED REMAIN THE SAME OR INCREASE SLIGHTLY.
UNPLUGGED NOZZLE
BRIDGE
SHUT DOWN AND RE-ESTABLISH ACCURATE SHUT-IN PRESSURES, THEN RE-ESTABLISH NEW CIRCULATING
PRESSURES.
DPP AND CP DECREASE EQUALLY.PUMP SPEED RETURNS TO NORMAL.
UNPLUGGED CHOKE
PLUGGEDCHOKE
TRY WORK/FREE PIPE WITHOUT APPLYING EXCESSIVE PUMP PRESSURE.
RE-ESTABLISH LAST ACCURATE CP AND MAINTAIN NEW REDUCED DPP.
SHUT-IN WELL. SWITCH CHOKES. ESTABLISH NEW CIRCULATING PRESSURES. ISOLATE PLUGGED CHOKE.
CORRELATE PRESSURE GAUGES.
DPP AND CP INCREASE CONTINUALLY. PUMP SPEED DECREASES SLIGHTLY.
NO TANK INCREASE. FLARE GOES OUT IF GAS TO SURFACE.
SHUT-IN WELL. SWITCH CHOKES.ESTABLISH NEW CIRCULATING PRESSURES.
DPP AND CP DECREASE EQUALLY.PUMP SPEED RETURNS TO NORMAL.
