Dear all, I am very proud to introduce the new collection “The Series”. It was not so long ago since we have launched the first eBook, including the photo-graphic work of the 10 administrators, who at that time were cooperating in the “WePhoto” group. Sin-ce then, we have published 21 eBooks and the Spe-cial edition “Calendar 2015” and now two Calen-dars 2016.

This new collection – The Series - is made of diffe-rent eBooks, each one (or more than one if requi-red) related to a specific photographic theme, in-cluding the artworks of several authors from Italy and abroad. This is the First eBook of the third line of this new collection and has been dedicated to Macro and Close-Up Photography.

Macro and Close-Up

Macro and Close-Up

Macro and Close-Up

This photographic genre describes a particular world, hidden, little, secret. Explore this world is not easy. Besides the professionalism, the care of the image, you have to be patience. Wait, explore unseen places to give us a vi-sion of a hidden beauty. Insects that look like giant of fairytale, colors, fasci-nating forms. I want to thank, on behalf of all readers, these explorers that we give visual excitement otherwise unreachable.

RICCARDO NOYA M. D. in emergency room, living in Bari (Apulia IT).  I have been an enthusiast since childhood of eve-rything that nature has to offer us. My favorite readings were books of zoology, botany and entomology. I am fortunate to live near the Natural Reserve of Lama Balice and, a few kilo-meters, from the Regional Park of High Murgia. Often I visit these places to search for specimens to be immortalized in all their beauty or to searchfor caterpillars to breed so you can see and photograph the metamorphosis.I currently use a Canon EOS 700D with a Canon Macro 100mm f / 2.8L IS USM lens and my favorite subjects are in-sects and other small invertebrates.

ALFREDO PRIM , veterina-ry surgeon , resident in Vigevano ( Pv ) .I live in the Parco del Ticino , in the Lombard plain very close to Milan and Pavia , a protected area rich in biodiversity and this has encouraged my passion for nature in all its aspects .I am fond of photography since 1985 , when I star-ted the first steps with an Olympus OM10 . After entry into the digital world I continued to capture images in my beautiful natural area and some years ago I fell in love of macro photography .Now I use a Nikon D5200 with a Sigma 150mm ma-cro lens f.2,8 and I deal in particular , always in a non-professional way, of insects and flowers .

BARBARA MAESTRUCCI resident in Perugia (Italy). Photographing is stop-ping time with a click. I love every type of photo-graphy, especially naturalistic photography. Even though my favorite is macrophotography, it allows to observe a micro world, small and lovely; with the practice of this type of photograph I learned to respect these small animals.I started photographing 4 years ago and my vision of the world has totally changed: the photography gives you “another eye”! The eye of the foto-grapher that sees everithing around him accura-tely: a sunset, couple holding close or a ladybug on a flower!!!

I am Silvia Spedicato, born in 1981 and raised in south Italy (Brindisi). After some years in Bologna where I graduated, I came back home in the South to work in my hometown, where I currently live with my husband and my dear ones.In 2014 my husband gave me some photography classes as a gift and in the same year I came into the world of macrophoto-graphy. I fell so in love with this new experience of macrophoto-graphy that I decided to buy another camera: a full frame Nikon D610 and a macro lens. But I love photography as a whole, so I am also fascinated by mi-cro world: I find it fantastic and enchanting, I think it is like a dream and, at the same time, it is very emotional. I love taking pictures of water droplets and I’m also fascinated by what they can retain, fantastic reflected worlds. Every little drop of water is life, is magic. What lies on a soft petal of a flower seems to be suspended in time and it seems to be in harmony with the crea-tion.

Barbara Cirigliano was born in Pinerolo,Tourin, in1976, but she grew up in the River Agri Valley, Basilicata, where her parents decided to return to be farmers. Here Barbara used to play pasturing the flock, feeding the calves, loo-king after pigs and helping in the fields . Today Barbara defines herself a " mother, wife and farm labourer". Her hobbies are to love and live Nature, particularly the Mountain, and Fotography . Her photos show us her deep sensibility towards her territory.Winner of many photografic competitions, she has organized several personal exhibitions. She widely uses Facebook to promote the natu-ral wonders and the traditions of her land. Her fans adore her for being simple and humble even if so remarkab-le , and successful in what she does. A self-taught photografer, she keeps studying Fotography texts and listens gratefully to any advice. She says " if I stop feeling emotions towards a natural spectacle , this means that my soul is surely ill " For these shots she used a Canon 7d and a macro 100 2 .8 L IS .

Hi! I am Arthur Lee a retire Ex Chef. Took up photo-graphy almost 6 yrs ago. But didn't practice much cos' of work commitment. Only these past 3 years able to bring my camera to the field. My favorite photographers are David Hobby, Joe McNally and Zack Arias distinguished Strobist. They are my idols. Once Joe McNally said, quote... , “If you want something to look interesting, don’t light all of it.” Trying to bring these concepts into the ma-cro world. Still in the process of learning. A long journey start with a small step.
