About Decors Galore
Decors Galore started in the Vocational/Career Education Room at the Harbor School (Eatontown, NJ) in 2018. Career Education is important for all students and pro-vides them with a functional academic program, that in-cludes essential career exploration and function life skills.
Students learn to use various machines like the Cricut Machine where they are able to make cards from card stock, t-shirts, aprons and bags with iron on vinyl as well as make sayings to place on mugs and wood work, travel mugs and glasses, which can be customized.
The Cuttle Bug is used for embossing cards for all occasions. Cards and bags are also decorated with stamps, ink pads and acrylic paint.
All High School students at the Harbor School take part in the Vocational Room in some manner. Students that don’t take part in Decors Galore, are doing various jobs for other classes such as copying, laminating, shredding and completing orders. Students are assisted in occupational planning, social training, business skills, verbal communication, problem solving, inventory and mon-ey management.
The Vocational Room is always busy with multiple students work-ing hard at numerous tasks. All items are made to sell and can be made to order and customized.
