• WhohavenotwonBestEntryorFirst,Secondor Third Prize in the Young Painters' Annual and MetrobankArtandDesignExcellenceorganizedbyMetrobankFoundation,Inc.(the“Foundation”).

PreviouswinnersineachcategoryshallnolongerbeeligibletojointheCompetition.

Specifications of the Painting Piece

Size: Notsmallerthan18x24inchesorbigger than36x48inches,exclusiveofthe frame

Medium: Oil-based/AcrylicMediumonCanvasor WaterMedia(watersolublemedium)

onPaper(notboard)• Mixedmediaisnotallowed,meaning,theuseofamediumorelementsotherthanthespecifiedmediumwillbeagroundfordisqualification

Weight: notmorethan17kilos Theme: The organizers shall accept entries

with open theme but the organizers emphasizestheroleofartinthe

promotionofPhilippineCultureandits contributiontodefiningourFilipino

identity.Frame: Shouldbeframedorhavehanging provisions.Theframe,includingthe mattingshouldnotexceed5inches. •ThepieceshouldNOTbesignedbytheartist.•Donotgluecanvasonwoodbackingfor conservationpurposes.

• Photos will not be returned• Refertonotesatthebackonhowtophotographyour

Rules & Regulations

Competition

1 DO NOT SEND THE ACTUAL ARTWORK. Onlythesemifinalistswillberequiredtosendtheir

work.TheFoundationwillinformthesemifinalistsastowhenandhowtheywillsendtheiractualwork.Whensubmittinganartwork,makesurethatithasprotectivepackaging.

2 ThewinningentriesineachcategoryshallautomaticallybecomepropertiesoftheFoundation.

3 InlinewiththeobjectiveoftheCompetitiontodevelopcreativity,originality,andartisticexcellence,all entries must be original workswhollyexecutedbythecontestant.Entrieswhicharecopiesofexistingworksintermsofcompositionwillbedisqualifiedeveniftheyarerenderedinadifferentstyle,medium,colorscheme,orevenifotherelementshavebeenadded.• Digitalprintingoncanvas/papermaybegroundsfordisqualification.

4 Theentrymustnothavebeensubmittedtoanyother Competitions and previous YPA and MADE competitions.

5 TheFoundationshallselectthemembersoftheBoardofJudges.TheselectionofthemembersoftheBoardofJudgesshallbethesoleprerogativeoftheFoundation.

6 Judgesmaydecidenottoawardprizesiftheentries do not meet certain artistic and Competition requirements.AlldecisionsoftheBoardofJudgesastowhetherornotanentryorcontestantcompliedwiththerulesandregulations,aswellasinallaspectsoftheCompetition,SHALL BE FINAL.

7 TheFoundationandtheBoardofJudgeshavetherighttodecideifspecialrecognitionssuchasspecialcitationandotherspecialawardswillbegiven.

8 TheFoundationmaypurchaseanyartworkatapriceagreeduponbytheFoundationandtheartist.

9 TheFoundationreservestherighttowithdrawanyawardand/orcashprizeatanytimeshouldthecontestantviolateanyoftherulesandregulationsoftheCompetitionsoriftheFoundationdeems,inanyway,thatgrantingthecontestanttheawardwilldamagethereputationoftheFoundationand/orMetrobank.

10 ThecontestantshallholdtheFoundation,Metrobank,and/oranyoftheirdirectors/trustees,officers,orstafffreeandharmlessforanyentries,documentsorartworks lost or damaged in transit or during storage orwhileinthepossessionoftheaforementionedentitiesorindividuals.

11 TheFoundationreservestherighttousethenameandphotoofthepainter/sculptorandhis/herentryfreeofchargeforanybroadcast,telecast,printoranyothermedium.

Exhibition

12 TheFoundationalsoreservestherighttoexhibittheentries,asitmaydeemfitandtodecidewhichoftheentrieswillbedisplayedduringtheexhibitasnotallentriesmaybedisplayed.

13 Allwinnersshallattendtheawardingceremonies.

14 Sellingofsemi-finalists'artworksbytheartist/affiliatedgallerywhiletheartworkisstillwithinthecompetitiontimeframe(submission-postawarding)isgroundsfordisqualification.

15 Shouldanartistbeaffiliatedwithagalleryoranyartinstitution,theorganizerswillnotbeliabletoanyagreementsignedbytheartistpriororafterjoiningthecompetitionforanypercentageofsaleorproceedsacquiredasaresultofjoiningthecompetition.

16 The artist/entrant has the right to sell his/her artwork providedthatitisindicated/specifiedintheentryform.Failure to indicate a selling price automatically puts the art piece under "not for sale" and indicated selling price cannot be changed during exhibition.

17 Failure to comply with the above rules and regulations shall automatically disqualify the contestant.

18 By submitting the signed entry form, the contestant agrees to abide by the rules and regulations of the Competition and submits to any background investigation that the Foundation may conduct.
