MESSAGERIE SS 2013

La collezione Messagerie Primavera-Estate 2013 si ispira ad un revival contemporaneo dello stile Rolling Stone primi anni ’70.Esiliati in Gran Bretagna nel 1971 danno vita ad uno dei capolavori del rock e della musica in genere, “ Exile On Main Street”, composto nella casa inglese di Mick Jagger tra abusi e follia, rock e arte, eccessi e creatività.Le note del “rock inglese” dei Rolling Stone ispirano la nuova collezione di Patrizio Piscaglia che mescola Hippy Style, finto trasandato alla Jagger e sartorialità inglese trasformando la collezione in un casual sofisti-cato.L’imperfetto è la chiave di Messagerie, che proseguen-do il proprio percorso, non abbandona le radici, anzi le rafforza facendo sempre più convivere costruzioni sartoriali a tecniche di finissaggio che aggiungono carattere e personalità. Un look intriso di accenni hippy nei colori e nelle stampe fantasia, ma anche nella forma dei pantaloni pigiama; i capi hanno un aspetto “casuale” ma ordi-nato, tessuti sgualciti, lussuosi, abbinati a vestibilità morbide e fibre naturali in mischia con tessuti tecnici.Giacche corte rigate, doppio petto in lino melange taglio vivo, maglie dai toni luminosi schiariti dal sole, camicie con allacciatura a polo e contrasti di materiali, pantaloni asciutti e corti oppure morbidi con pinces sul bacino e fondo stretto, giacche militari in cotone-lino delavè, t-shirt in lino fiammato.La sera di Messagerie ha tagli sartoriali, colori scuri, effetti luminosi ed opachi, smoking e suits blu-black per rivivere un “Red Carpet” anni ’70 da sogno.

Messagerie Spring-Summer 2013 collection is inspi-red by a contemporary revival of early ‘70s Rolling Stone style.Exiled in Great Britain in 1971, they created a master-piece of rock and music in general, “Exile On Main Street”, composed in the English house of Mick Jag-ger between abuse and madness, rock and art, creativity and excesses.The notes of the “British rock” by Rolling Stone inspired Patrizio Piscaglia’s new collection that mixes Hippy Style, Jagger’s fake scruffy and English tailo-ring transforming the collection a sophisticated casual style.The imperfect is the key of Messagerie, which conti-nues its path and does not abandon the roots, on the contrary it strengthens them making live together structured tailoring and finishing techniques that add character and personality.A look full of hippy hints in colors and patterns, but also in the cut of pyjama pants; garments look “ran-dom” but orderly, rumpled fabrics, lush, combined to losing fit with natural fibers blended with technical fabrics.Short jackets striped, double breasted linen mélange sharp cut jackets, knits with bright sun-bleached to-nes, polo shirts with lacing and contrasting materials, slim fit trousers and shorts, or losing with pleats on the hips and tight bottom, military jackets in cotton-linen, faded t-shirt in shot linen.Messagerie evening has got tailoring cuts, dark colors, bright and opaque effects, blue-black tuxedos and suits to relive a dreamy 70’s “Red Carpet”.

WHY MESSAGERIE

IS INSPIRED

BY EXILE TO MAIN ST.?

Il titolo dell’album, che in italiano è traduci-bile come “In esilio sulla strada principale”, allude all’esilio della band dall’Inghilterra a causa di problemi con il fisco con conseguen-te trasferimento in Francia. Infatti, le regi-strazioni sono state fatte nella cantina della villa in Francia di Keith Richards. In questo album si instaura un duello tra blues e boogie, tra rumore e silenzio, tra armoniche country e chitarre rock. La copertina di Exile on Main St. è costituita da un collage di foto in bian-co e nero opera del fotografo Robert Frank e spezzoni di filmini in Super 8 anch’essi in bianco e nero, assemblati insieme dai grafici Norman Seeff e John Van Hamersveld. Duran-te quei mesi la Villa divenne un centro di fe-ste e deliri vari, con ospiti di ogni genere che si insediavano anche per lunghi periodi, da Gram Parson a Eric Clapton e Paul McCart-ney, il tutto contornato dalla stesura e dalle session per un’album ancora oggi considerato pietra miliare del rock.

The title of the album Exile Main St. alludes to the band’s exile from England. In fact, the recordings were made in the basement of the villa in France by Keith Richards. In this al-bum you establish a duel between blues and boogie, between noise and silence, between harmonics country and rock guitars. The cover of Exile on Main St. is made up of a collage of photos in black and white work of photographer Robert Frank and clips from movies in Super 8 also black and white, as-sembled together by designers Norman Seeff and John Van Hamersveld. During those months, the Villa became a center of parties and various delusions, with guests of all kinds who came to settle for long periods, from Gram Parsons to Eric Clapton and Paul McCartney, all surrounded by the writing and the session for an album yet now consi-dered the cornerstone of rock.

SWINGING LONDONSwinging è un termine inglese che letteralmente significa dondolare, oscillare. Si riferisce particolarmente a un insieme di tendenze culturali che sorsero in Gran Bretagna ed ebbero il suo apice a Londra negli anni sessanta/settanta. Era un feno-meno culturale nuovo in cui prevaleva l’ottimismo che sfocia-va nel piacere individuale considerato bene più alto e fonda-mento della vita morale. E’ il Time dell’aprile 1966 a usare la parola “swinging”, indicato come il propendere verso un determinato punto: in questo caso l’indirizzarsi verso la moda del momento. All’epoca il fenomeno si concentrava particolar-mente sulla musica pop anche perchè gli artisti inglesi, in quel momento, erano al massimo della loro carriera. Riguardava però anche la fotografia, il cinema, ma soprattutto la moda. Furoreggiavano allora i Beatles, i Rolling Stones, i Who. L’economia inglese si stava riprendendo dopo gli anni di au-sterità del dopoguerra. Alcuni film documentavano le tendenze del periodo come Blow-Up di Michelangelo Antonioni del 1966 e Absolute Beginners del 1986, diretto da Julien Temple, ambientato nella Swinging London. Carnaby Street, posta nel quartiere di Soho, negli anni sessanta è stata la leggendaria meta di giovani provenienti da tutto il mondo, amanti della cultura e dell’abbigliamento beat e pop. Allora dominavano lo scenario gli hippies e i figli dei fiori. Attualmente numerose boutiques e negozi ricordano quell’epoca.Tra questi lo store I was a Lord Knitchener’s Valet, luogo di culto per giacche e tagli che riprendono il gusto militare. Altre personalità poco conosciute come Freddie Hornik, sarto su misura per l’aristo-crazia rock degli anni Settanta. Keith Richards, Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood, Jimmy Page e indossava creazioni Hornik sul palco e in televisione, ma i prezzi proibitivi che le boutique cariche ha fatto sì che solo i ricchi potevano permettersi questi oggetti che provenivano da antichi guardaroba, come la giacca di velluto usata da Mick Jagger per il tour di Exile to Main St. L’ossessione di Mick Jagger per gli abiti da concerto deriva dall’influenza del primo manager Andrew Oldham, un fanatico dell’abbigliamento che ideò il suo personaggio da spettacolo e i duoi completi. Negli anni sessanta/settanta Jagger indossava completi e cra-vatte fini, poi camicie di moda, giacche di velluto e poi ancora sciarpe e terribile accessori. Successiva,mente lo sguardo dei fans si rivolse al cavallo dei suoi pantaloni, che era ricamato, con le tute di Ossie Clark che arrivavano fino al ginocchio. VILLA NELLCÔTE VILLEFRANCHENel 1899 Eugene Thomas ripristina le antiche rovine di una vecchia base militare, una villama-gnifica composta da grandi terrazze che si affac-ciano sulla baia di Villefranche.

Ci fu un gran parlare della Nellcote Ville quan-do fu affittata da Keith Richards, il chitarrista famoso dai Rolling Stones, che hanno registrato il “Exile on Main Street”, grazie ad uno studio mobile in il giardino.

L’elettricità che era necessaria per lo studio di registrazione superava notevolmente quello che gli è stato fornita per un soggiorno domestico e si dice che i musicisti abbiano risolto questo problema tirando un filo dalla casa alla centrale della linea ferroviaria vicina.

There was a lot of talk about Nellcote Ville when it was rented by Keith Richards, the famous guitarist from the Rolling Stones, who recorded “Exile on Main Street” album in the villa through a mobile studio in the garden.
