This assignment focuses on various aspects of Photoshop. You will be creating one magazine cover. The topic of the magazine can be a sports, glamour, or news. But your magazine must include yourself on the cover.

1. You must create all the text and images for the cover. 2. Use images from the Internet or take a picture of someone or something at our

school for the cover. 3. Be sure to match the style of the magazine with your photos and stories. 4. Must use some text that includes a layer style. (drop shadow, bevel and emboss,

inter glow, ect.) 5. Your dimensions for this assignment are:

Width = 8.5 inches Height = 11 inches Resolution = 300 dpi

Students are required to create their own cover for a magazine. Students may use an existing magazine as a template or they may create a magazine of their own. Images will be taken from the Internet or digital photos (SCHOOL APPROPRIATE). The magazine cover should have a title, a series of headlines, barcode, issue date, and price. Great attentions should be paid to the layout of the page, to the quality of the images, and to the consistence of the textual style(s). The layout must be completed entirely in Photoshop. Turning In Your Assignment Once you are done with the assignment make sure you save your Photoshop documents as a JEPG file. To do this open your Photoshop documents and do a File Save for Web & Devices. A new window called Save For Web & Devices will come up. Choose JEPG High 100%. Name it your name magazinecover, example (mrknappmagazine). Then drop it in the Handin Folder.
