INTERCAP LENDING RECENTLY ATTENDED THE LONG BEACH SYSTEM 7 CONFERENCE put on by Resource Dynamics. The conference was attended by an estimated 400 real estate agents. They spent two days absorbing information about the latest and greatest technology tools and business systems the market has to offer.

At the event our CEO Jamil Atcha delivered a presentation on our Realty Affiliate Marketing Program (RAMP). The response was overwhelming-ly positive! Twenty-five percent of the attendees indicated enthusiasm for the program. Following the event we started onboarding a handful of agents, and a warm dialogue continues with those who have shown interest in the program.

In the coming weeks a webinar will be hosted for existing and newly boarded agents. Please contact Joe Freedman, Corporate Director of Marketing with any questions, at [email protected] or 866.644.1046 x1278.

ask our ceo!If you have a question for Jamil to be anwered in the MAGnifier, please email to [email protected], subject line: Ask Our Ceo.

Q. As our focus is on rebuilding MAG, what are your thoughts regarding our positioning within the community?

A. As we rebuild and have success stories, it is going to be imperative that we tell everyone in the community through smart marketing.

Q. What kind of technological advancements do you think we will see in the next few years that will facilitate the mortgage processing system?

A. This is a great question. I am on an Advisory Board of a tech company that, in my opinion, will revolutionize how we look at borrower capacity. More to come on this in the next couple of months!

Q. Will there be 2014 employee/sales awards?

A. Yes! We need to recognize all of our employees for their contribution to the company.

Jamil Atcha, CEO

kudos! to your healthKudos from Kevin Everett: I want to send out a HUGE thanks to Brenda Carter, Sam Goosman and Jeryl Torrick! It is truly an honor to work with these amazing women who have stepped up to the plate and are taking charge to make things happen!

Kudos from Kevin Everett: Rock Star back in action! I could not be happier about the return of Natalie Griffin to MAG, as my assistant! She is totally amazing!

Kudos from Kevin Everett: Brie Sidener, this girl is crazy good! Can't thank her enough for all of her hard work!

office eventsTHE NWMLS NORTH TOURNAMENT AT THE HARBOUR POINT GOLF COURSE in Mukilteo was held on Thursday, September 4th. It was a packed house with 144 players. The weather was sunny and warm, but a bit breezy—the wind was so stiff that we couldn’t hang the MAG banners at our table, because it was making our canopy blow over!

Jeryl Torick and Miranda Barnett took charge of the MAG table. They had a great time, and Miranda mentioned our RAMP program to everyone who stopped by. Many realtors expressed great interest in the program! We recommend you make it a point to attend next year's event, even if you don't play golf—It’s a perfect environment for networking

with realtors! We can always use more friendly faces at our table.

GETTING ENOUGH SLEEP IS ESSENTIAL. Not enough z's can lead to stress, weight gain, and an overall decline in good health. If a night of restful slumber seems out of your reach, these tips may help.

Q Drop your afternoon coffee break: Caffeine affects people differently but if tossing and turning correlates to your afternoon coffee run, now’s the time to stop.

Q Put away the cell phone: The blue light from tech devices tricks your mind into thinking it’s day, so turn off gadgets 30 minutes before you need to go to sleep.

Q Hide the light: Electronics, alarm clocks, street lamps, all of these can prevent deep sleep. Cover up anything that’s contributing to light pollution.

Q Take a warm shower: A warm shower or bath can soothe muscles; it’s also great if you’re suffering from a cold or allergies.

Q Exercise: Expend your energy for the day with exercise, and you’ll be ready to drift off to sleep as soon as you hit the hay.

Q Eat an earlier dinner: Going to sleep with a full stomach can make lying down uncomfortable. Go with an earlier, lighter dinner.

Q Put away the nightcap: Put away the wine and beer— alcoholic drinks cause restless sleep.

Q Do yoga: Besides the stress-releasing stretch, yoga helps relax the mind.

PROPERTY OF MAG The Marysville staff started labeling things around the office and couldn't stop until they labeled each other with "Property of MAG." At least if one of them wanders away they can be safely returned.

FOOD FIGHT! Looks like fun! Apparently Julie Barragan's baby shower at the Corporate office in Aliso Viejo turned into a food fight, with Mike and Fay getting a face full!
