5 national R&D institutes (Nuclear, Laser, Plasma&Space sciences, Material Physics, Optoelectronics and Seismology) and Faculty of Physics form the most important hub of fundamental physics research.

Built in Măgurele, Romania, the ELI Nuclear Physics (ELI-NP) facility is based on a very high intensity laser system and a very intense, brilliant gamma beam system. Due to the unique combination of these instruments worldwide, ELI-NP will tackle a wide range of research topics in fundamental physics, nuclear physics and astrophysics and also researches towards applications in materials science, life sciences, management of nuclear materials.

VISION. MISSION. OBJECTIVES
Capitalization of the ELI-NP project and of the research institutes in the adjacent area of MSP, as interested parties/stakeholders of MSP.
Participation to the consolidation of the national system of innovative entrepreneurship.
Attracting and supporting talented people with the purpose of stopping the phenomenon of brain-drain that takes place in Romania.
Contributing to the change/modernization of the urban profile of Măgurele and Bucharest-Ilfov Region.
Supporting the commercialization of the research results and of the spin-off systems built within Universities and Research Institutes as well as creating a relevant culture in this field.
