Support From the Harold Alfond Foundation
• Invested $2 million in support of the planning process
• Presented the UMaine System with a $7.5 million challenge grant to implement the plan
UMaine System & MCV Support:
• The UMS Board of Trustees; the UMS Chancellor; the Presidents of UMaine and USM; and the Deans of Maine Law, UMaine School of Business; USM College of Management and Human Service, and USM Muskie School of Public Service
• UMaine and USM are moving forward with a unified MBA program
• Cross-disciplinary executive education pilot programs have been launched
• Maine Center Ventures (MCV) has been formed

Broadreach Public Relations (BPR) was founded in 2006 by Linda Varrell to help businesses and organizations raise their profiles and tell their stories.
BPR is an award-winning strategic communications firm headquartered in Portland, ME.
The firm has 9 employees, featuring a blend of accomplished senior-level professions paired with ambitious junior staff.
Principal, Linda Varrell, also serves on the USM Foundation Board.

with employers seeking to build the capacity of leaders within their organization through Executive Education;
• Coordinate with Law, Graduate Business Schools & Muskie School faculty & staff to develop and deliver a portfolio of non-degree Executive Education Programs;
• Drive and oversee implementation of incubator/accelerator program to deliver targets agreed in Harold Alfond Foundation (HAF) Grant Agreement.

Special Project Coordinator Responsibilities: • Provide support to iCEO to meet deliverables
outlined in the MCV Charter;
• Coordinate marketing, communication and outreach to align with the MCV branding strategies;
• Assist with implementation and launch of the incubator/accelerator program;
• Assist with the launch of the Executive Education programs;
• Administrative support for all meetings with UMS Chancellor, MCV Board and the Maine Center Coordinating Committee;
