Day 1 - Travel to Mammoth LakesWe depart San Diego early morning and head north toward central California, stopping for lunch at BJ's Restaurant in Victorville. After lunch we continue northeast, arriving at Mammoth Lakes early evening. You’ll check-in for a four night stay at the Best Western Premier High Sierra Hotel before continuing on for an all-inclusive welcome dinner at The Brasserie restaurant this evening. [L,D]

Day 2 - June, Silver, & Mono LakesAfter an included breakfast at your hotel, you’ll embark on a tour guided by a local expert of popular lakes including June Lake, Silver Lake, and Mono Lake Park where you’ll enjoy a boxed lunch along the shores. This ancient majestic body of water covering about 65 square miles is over 1 million years old, making it one of the oldest lakes in North America. Here you’ll also have time to explore the Mono Basin Visitor Center which includes a variety of exhibits about the natural and human history of this Sierra treasure. We move on to South Tufa to admire the incredible “tufa towers,” calcium-carbonate spires and knobs formed by interaction of freshwater springs and alkaline lake water. We return to the hotel to enjoy free time to explore, or perhaps take the evening to relax at the hotel. [B,L]

Day 3 - Devil's Postpile & Mammoth Lakes BasinThis morning you’ll enjoy breakfast at the hotel before we depart for the Mammoth Mountain recreation area where

we’ll board park shuttles to reach the Devils Postpile monument, which scientists believe formed less than 100,000 years ago when a cooling lava flow cracked into multi-sided columns. Along the way we stop for a photo op to admire the magnificent peaks of the Minarets. Lunch is included at the cozy Mammoth Inn Mountainside Grill, where you can take in spectacular mountain views through the ceiling-high windows. We’ll then meet a guide in town to take us around more spectacular Mammoth sights, including Twin Falls Overlook, Mammoth Lakes Basin, Convict Lake, and Rock Creek Lake. After the tour you’ll have the rest of the evening free for dinner on your own. [B,L]

Day 4 - Explore Mammoth LakesToday breakfast is at your leisure before you have time to spend the day exploring Mammoth on your own, or take our optional side trip to the CA Welcome Center and Earthquake Fault in the Inyo Naitional Forest. Visit one of the many local eateries for lunch on your own, browse the quaint shops and boutiques, or simply take it easy in this gorgeous area. This evening we’ll take in a delicious farewell buffet dinner at a local Mammoth hotspot, 53 Kitchen. [B,D]

Day 5 - Travel to San DiegoAfter a leisurely breakfast at the hotel we’ll motor south to Bishop to visit Schat’s Dutch Bakery, renowned for their Original Sheepherder Bread, where we’ll also pick up ACTIVITY LEVEL HIGH

be made by calling (619) 334-3394, or toll-free from outside the greater San Diego metro areaat (800) 679-8747. Telephone reservationsmust be followed by a $100 per persondeposit within 5 days or your seat reservationsare subject to release without notice.

• TRIP CANCELLATION PROTECTION:An optional Cancellation Protection Plan(CPP) is available at a cost of $120-$155 per person. CPP does not pay for the single supplement of the remaining traveler when a traveling companion cancels from a double occupancy reservation. CPP allows you to cancel your reservation for any reason up untiltwo hours before your scheduled departure time and receive a full refund (less the CPP fee), provided you notify DayTripper Tours by telephone of your change of plans.

• C ANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS: For reservations not covered by the optional Cancellation Protection Plan, you must cancel your reservation by August 20, 2020 to receivea refund, transfer or credit. A $100 processing fee will be assessed. Unused portions of the tour are non-refundable. If DayTripper Tours cancels the tour you are entitled to a full refund without penalty.

• LIABILITY: DayTripper Tours acts solely as the agent in arranging for and coordinating various services of other companies to create tour packages, including transportation, tour escorts, hotels, restaurants, admission tickets and other services. The persons or companies engaged in conducting those services are not employees of DayTripper Tours, therefore, DayTripper Tours assumes no liability for any loss, accident, delay, inconvenience, expense or injury to you or any persons traveling with you owing to any act of default or negligence caused by any person or company engaged in providing those services, or by any strike, acts of Providence or other events beyond our control.
