5. ANTI NARCOTICS FORCE ACADEMY (ANFA)

a.

During 3rd

Quarter of year 2018, Anti Narcotics Force Academy (ANFA) remained engaged in

development of human resources of Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) and other Law Enforcement

Agencies (LEAs) by conducting various training courses. During the period under review, 6

courses / workshop were organized and 142 officers & officials of ANF and other LEAs were

trained.

rdb. Visits during 3 Quarter 2018

1. Visit of US Delegation On 1 Aug 2018, US delegation visited ANF

Academy Islamabad and briefing on role & functions was given by

Commandant.

Delegation also visited different training facilities at Academy during

visit.

2. Study visit of trainee officers of Police College Sihala 40 trainees officers

and 4 staff members of Police College Sihala visited ANF Academy Islamabad

and briefing on the role & functions was given. Trainees and faculty members

also visited different training facilities during their visit.

6. INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION

a. Major Events (Workshops / Meeting / Conferences / Training / Visits)

th(1). 11 Meeting of the Regional Working Group on Precursors

and Precursors Meeting was held from 11 to 12 Jul 2018 in

Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic and was attended by Following:

(a). Lt Col Muhammad Amer Wasim Joint Director

(b). Ms. Nayab Rafique, Assistant Director

(2). Third Expert Group Meeting on “The Future of Alternative

Development” was held from 23 to 26 Jul 2018 in Vienna and

was attended Brig Hammad Ahmed Dogar, Force Commander,

ANF North Region.

(3). Study tour of Integrated Border Management was held from

23 to 27 Jul 2018 in Vietnam, Cambodia Border and was

attended by following:

(1) Brig Sheikh Muhammad Ali Haque, Chief of Staff

(2) Major Sohail Abbas, Deputy Director

(4). UNODC - Art of Leading Collectively meeting was held from

15 to 17 Aug 2018 in Siem Reap – Cambodia and was attended

by following:

a. Brig Khalid Mehmood Goraya, Force Commander, ANF

North Region

b. Lt Col Sarfraz Nazar, Joint Director

c. Lt Col Shafique Ahmed Khan, Joint Director

(5). UNODC-Karachi exchange visit to Tbilisi Unit:

Said meeting was held from 03 to 05 Sep 2018 at Tbilisi,

Georgia and was attended by following:

b Mr. Ali Aslam Turk, Assistant Director

c. Mr. Imran, Assistant Director

(6). UNODC – Regional CCP Meeting was held from 04 to 06 Sep 2018,

Dhaka, Bangladesh and was attended by Brig Aqib Nazir Chaudhry,

Force Commander Balochistan Region.

8. DRUG BURNING

a. Drug Burning Ceremony at Quetta th On 12 Sep 2018, Regional Directorate Anti Narcotics Force,

Balochistan and Frontier Corps, Balochistan organized joint drug

burning ceremony at Quetta. Occasion was graced by Maj Gen

Muhammad Asim Malik, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Quetta

as Chief Guest. Total 51 Tons of narcotics and prohibited chemical

precursors were destroyed.

b. Drug Burning Ceremony at Peshawar

Drug Burning Ceremony was organized by Anti Narcotics Force, Regional Directorate

KP at Peshawar. Miss Nusrat Yasmeen, Honorable Judge of Special Court for Control

of Narcotics Substances Peshawar, was the guest of honour. Representatives of Law

Enforcement Agencies, NGOs, civil society and media also attended the occasion.
