Many bands have used the same style of play or chord progression of Pachelbel’s canon in D. Some bands that have used it are Green Day, Oasis, Vitamin C, Minister, Blues Traveler, The Farm, and Delirium.

Condensed Biography

Pachelbel was born on September 1, 1653, in Nürnberg. He was a gifted organist and played in many cathedrals and served as the organist at the Imperial Church. He taught organ and piano to quite a few people and one person in particular. Pachelbel taught Johann Christoph Bach, the older brother and guardian of Johann Sebastian Bach the famous composer and organist.
