Trinity Law School is a California Bar-accredited law school located in Orange

County, CA, providing an exceptional legal education in the historic, Judeo-

Christian tradition. We believe that a legal career is more than a profession. It is

a calling to put your education and faith into action for the sake of your clients,

society, and the world.

LIVING YOUR MISSION

Voted One of the Best Law

Schools for the Devout Since 2015 A LEGAL CAREER IS MORE THAN A PROFESSION; IT IS A CALLING.

“This is what the Lord Almighty

said: 'Administer true justice;

show mercy and compassion

to one another.’”

—Zechariah 7:9

We seek to be a learning community that operates by the ethics and values of the Kingdom of God. The makeup of the community should be a reflection of the breadth and diversity of the family of God. The way we treat people should be consistent with our Lord’s morals, justice, compassion, humility, and love.

Since 1980, Trinity Law Review offers a distinct opportunity for students to become directly involved with and influence legal scholarship. By contributing to the journal and critiquing the work of professors and legal scholars, Trinity Law Review members assume an important role in guiding legal discourse. Members also gain valuable experience in editing, critical analysis, and substantive writing skills.

The Journal of Christian Legal Thought is a publication of the Institute for Christian Legal Studies, a cooperative ministry of the Christian Legal Society and Trinity Law School.

Michael PefferSenior Counsel for Pacific Justice Institute & Trinity Law School professor

Jim PalmerPresident of Orange County Rescue Mission

Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) secured a legal victory for Eric Thompson, a sociology professor at Moreno Valley College, who was fired for his discussions of “dangerous” conservative worldviews in his college classroom. PJI represented the professor in depositions, administrative hearings, and a multi-day arbitration conducted like a trial. The arbitrator, who found many of the claims against the tenured professor were unfounded, ruled in Thompson’s favor.

The Clinic’s mission at OCRM is to serve the legal needs of the residents at the Village of Hope. In addition, the Clinic serves the legal needs of the homeless population of the greater Orange County area through its mobile legal clinic. The Trinity Mobile Legal Clinic (see left) has a unique feature in that it is able to go directly to the marginalized of Orange County. On nearly every Thursday, this Clinic frequents a parking lot facility in the Civic Center Plaza in Santa Ana, CA where it administers legal aid/advice to those in need.

One of the most common categories of cases PJI handles involves street preachers who are being harassed by local governments, sometimes even being arrested, notwith-standing First Amendment speech rights. In this case, PJI is representing a man who was given a ticket for open-air preaching.

“Trinity Law School is a

wonderful example of an

educational institution that is

not just handing out degrees,

but calling their students to

provide a helping hand to the

least, the last, and the lost of

our community.”

—Jim Palmer

Our mission is to defend—without charge —the religious freedoms, parental

rights, and other civil liberties of people who cannot defend themselves.

Trinity Law School has

internship opportunities in

the Orange County and LA

County area. See what some

of our students have to say

about their experience.

INTERNSHIPS AT TRINITY

Experiences that get you out in the field.

“Working with the District Court of Appeal was an invaluable

and memorable experience for a young law student. I was able

to focus on a broad spectrum of legal topics in the appellate

process, fine-tuning my writing skills and research capabilities.

My externship deepened my interest in areas that I previously

found complex and intimidating, providing me a real-world

experience of what it will be like to be a practicing attorney.”

“Through the tasks I have completed at Sanders Law Group,

I have acquired many skills that are crucial in the law field.

After completing this internship, I feel confident to progress

my studies and experience in law.”

“My time at San Bernardino District Attorney’s office allowed me

to form lasting relationships with law enforcement and District

Attorney personnel, as well as members of the defense bar. I

learned that relationships are key to efficiently and properly doing

this job. In addition, I was able to sharpen not only my court room

skills but also my negotiation and discretionary skills. I couldn’t

have asked for a better experience.”

Students also visit human rights courts and other sites that contribute to the modern view of human rights law.

The Center for Human Rights seeks to protect and advocate for the most vulnerable in our society and the world. These courses have been designed for you to join in this call, and gain practical knowledge in the field of law that will shape both your legal career and faith journey.

For more information contact:

The Winter Human Rights Program is offered in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, Cambodia. Through this course, students learn about the fight against human trafficking through economic development during a time of government evolution. Additionally, students learn about the Cambodian genocide through visits to the S-21 Prison, the Killing Fields, and the Cambodian Tribunal where they watch the prosecution of Khmer Rouge perpetrators. Students also have the opportunity to return in the summer to intern with an NGO.

Trinity Law School is accredited by the Committee of Bar Examiners of The State Bar of California. Trinity Law

School is a school of Trinity International University, which is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the

North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Trinity Law School’s degree-granting authority is in connection

with its students qualifying to take the California Bar Examination, and obtaining admission to the practice of law in

California is based on accreditation by the Committee of Bar Examiners of The State Bar of California.

Except as provided in rule 4.30 of the Admissions Rules (legal education in a foreign state or country),

completion of a professional law degree program at this law school other than for the Juris Doctor degree

does not qualify a student to take the California Bar Examination or satisfy the requirements for admission to

practice law in California. It may not qualify a student to take the bar examination or to satisfy requirements for

admission to the practice of law in any other jurisdiction. A student intending to seek admission to practice law

should contact the admitting authority in the jurisdictions where the student intends to qualify to sit for the bar

examination or to be admitted to practice for information regarding their legal education requirements.

If you are coming to Trinity Law School from another state, you should secure suitable housing and transportation to ensure that these issues do not become an impediment to academic success. Trinity does not provide on-campus housing. However, there are several apartment complexes located near campus offering a range of rental rates, leasing, and amenities.
