• Content no longer comes first• Outcomes justify the content• Focus on what students need to

understand…and what skills they need to master

• Process skills are those things the student needs to master in order to achieve the outcomes

– Apply communication skills to gain assistance with goal specific planning– Develop and utilize basic educational skills– Participate in service activities that promote commitment to lifelong learning and

personal engagement– Complete a variety of self assessment techniques to support personal

engagement– Identify priorities , barriers and time management opportunities through

journaling– Identify opportunities for education in diversity

• We let that content emerge from a vision of what students need to be able to do beyond our classroom.
