• Produce testosterone• Main sex hormone

of males

that hangs from the body

• Lower temperature than body for sperm production

Epididymis:• Coiled tube where

sperm mature and are stored

• 2-10 days to mature

Vas Deferens:• Tubes the sperm

pass through to get fluids added (semen)

• Vasectomy- a health care provider closes or blocks the tubes that carry sperm.

are a pair of tube-like glands.

• Found behind the bladder of males.

• They make most of the content of semen

1. Removes urine from body

2. Delivers sperm to the female

Changes:• Erection:

• Blood vessels fill with blood

• Ejaculation:• Sperm released

nourishes and protects sperm.

• During ejaculation, the prostate squeezes this fluid into the urethra, and it’s expelled with sperm as semen.

bladder to outside of body

• In MALES it also releases sperm/ semen when penis is erect

• When the penis is erect, urine is blocked from the bladder
