After the forged credit card was rejected, the person left the area. No one was apprehended. JAN. 23 At 6:03 p.m. on Boston Post Road, police responded to a call of a petty larceny from the manager of a Walgreens store. Two people took items from the shelves but dropped their bags and ran as they were approached by the manager. No arrests were made. JAN. 25 Police were called at 12:12 a.m. about a criminal trespassing on a Porsche dealership on Boston Post Road. It was reported that someone was seen walking through the back lot of the dealership, but when police arrived, there was no one around. Police responded to a call at 7:05 p.m. on North Chatsworth Avenue in Larchmont about a grand larceny. A resident put their bag down as they began shoveling snow and when they were done, the bag was gone. The bag contained an iPad, clothes, a purse and some books. JAN. 28 An arrest was made after police responded to a call on Boston Post Road at 4:30 p.m. A resident, who was under an order of protection, received harassing text messages and subsequently the sender was arrested soon after. JAN. 29 Police responded at 8:20 a.m. to a store on Boston Post Road in Larchmont about a petty larceny. A person had stolen a Monster energy drink and was stopped by the store owner. The owner declined to press charges. JAN. 30 At 6:09 a.m., police responded to a call about fraudulent checks at a store on Vine Road. A person used fraudulent checks from a fake bank account to purchase items. Police said they are still investigating the case of grand larceny. Calls to police were made at 6:42 p.m. about a T-Mobile store on Boston Post Road in Larchmont. Police said there was an attempted robbery as the store manager was closing the store for the night. A suspect drove up and appeared to have a handgun, but was unable to enter the store as the manager locked the doors. No arrests were made. FEB. 2 Police responded to a call at 1:31 p.m. on 5th Avenue in Larchmont where a resident reported that two license plates were taken from their vehicle. FEB. 5 According to police, someone attempted to gain access into a bank account at the Chase Bank on Birch Road in Larchmont at 2:55 p.m. FEB. 6 Police responded to a call at 8:25 a.m. at the Hommocks Ice Rink. According to police, two bathroom stall doors were broken. Gadsden will distribute ashes at Mama- roneck Train Station, south- bound platform, from about 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. Mother Gads- den and three members of the St. Thomas congregation will be offering ashes to anybody who desires them, using words from the Book of Genesis: “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return.” In a program called Ashes to Go, Mother Gadsden is dis- tributing ashes to people on their way to work who may not have time to attend the service for the imposition of ashes tak- ing place at the St. Thomas chapel next to Heathcote Hall on Ash Wednesday at 6 a.m., noon and 7:30 p.m. Mother Gadsden says, “We’re offer- ing ashes outside the church to remind people that need, hu- mility and healing shouldn’t be confined to a church building.
