Injectors for common-rail engines are highly sensitive parts. They have to inject the finely atomized fuel in precise doses and under pressures of up to 2,500 bar into the combustion chamber. The valve travel of an injector is approximately just 35 μm. By way of comparison, a human hair has a diameter of approximately 60 μm. This makes it easier to understand why the purity of the fuel plays an extremely important role in common-rail injectors in particular.

Possible consequences of contaminationDirt particles may mix with the fuel due to refueling with contaminated fuel, inadequate fuel filter maintenance or even due to the use of unsuitable fuel filter inserts that do not satisfy the requirements of our MAN vehicles. These dirt particles may cause continuous, abrasive wear on the injector components and form deposits in the fuel circuit of the injector.

Modern diesel injection systems are manufactured to a high degree of precision. Injection pumps and nozzles have tolerances of only a few thousandths of a millimeter. If these tolerances are influenced by soiling or erosion, the ability of the system to function correctly is at risk.

Quality means safety in brake lining sets.Mechanical anchoring of the linings to the backing plate in the Genuine part so that the lining mass adheres to the plate even at high temperatures and when subjected to heavy vibration. Cheaper products can only be glued. The glue can lose its effect during lining lifetime and fail completely at high temperatures.
