Here is the second part (Includes Part One) of my Man of Steel sequel concept.This is also a way of me practising my screenplay writing, so it won't be perfect.It is also a first draft, so I hope to clear up any errors once I have completed the story.

  • EXT. SOUTH PACIFIC OCEAN -- DAY

    SUB: SOUTH PACIFIC OCEAN

    OPEN OCEAN. The ROAR of an ENGINE draws our attention to-

    A MASSIVE OIL TANKER slowing fighting through rough seas.

    As it passes- BOOM!- An EXPLOSION blows a hole in the sideof the boat.

    INT. OIL TANKER -- CONTINUOUS

    CHAOS.

    KLAXONS sound, crew are frantically running in alldirections.

    Various EXPLOSIONS can be heard in all directions.

    One CREWMAN- freaked- shuts a bulk head door behind him. Heslowly... steps... back.

    His eyes dont come off the door.

    All the noise and chaos seem to vanish. A calm before thestorm.

    BANG!- WHAT THE FUCK- BANG!- Something- or someone beginspounding the door- FIST MARKS appear in the thick steel.

    Suddenly, the door is just RIPPED AWAY. revealing a figuresilhouetted by fire and anarchy.

    The Crewman reaches for a gun- opens fire.

    The Mysterious Figure pushes forward, ignoring the bulletspiercing his skin.

    CLICK- OUT OF AMMO.

    Desperate he throws the gun- A HAND SNATCHES IN FROM THEAIR- CRUSHES IT. Could this Mysterious Man be...Superman?

    The Crewman makes a run for it- hes grabbed by the neck-lifted- choked- then tossed like a piece of trash.

    EXT. SOUTH PACIFIC OCEAN -- DAY

    The Tanker groans as it breaks up... begins to sink.

    INT. ENGINE ROOM, OIL TANKER -- MOMENTS LATER

    SEVERAL CREWMAN, each holding weapons- A mix of small guns,to larger rocket launchers- stood around the tankers-NUCLEAR REACTOR CORE. This is a not typical tanker.

    Theyre nervous. The last stand of the brave.

    Quiet. Maybe they got away with it, maybe theyre safe-

    SMASH- The Mysterious Figure, still burning, bursts throughthe wall- the "TROOPS" open fire- No Effect- The Figuretosses them like rag-dolls- some just think "fuck it" andabandon their post.

    TWO CREWMAN try to load their Rocket Launcher. Theystruggle- Its snatched from their grip.

    They stare up at the figure-

    A Man- HALF HIS FACE COVERED IN CYBERNETIC IMPLANTS.

    He stares intently at the Rocket Launcher.

    A Crewman takes his chance- runs- the Metal Man doesnt evenlook- SWIPES the Crewman away with INCREDIBLE FORCE- thelimp body SLAMS AGAINST THE WALL.

    TENTACLES grow out from Metal Mans hand, attaching on tothe Bazooka- it begins to break down, scrounging like paperuntil the weapon has vaporized- REFORMING AS A SHOULDERMOUNTED ROCKET LAUNCHER. Scary, but pretty bad-ass.

    The Shoulder Launcher aims down at the Last Crewman.

    METAL MANLeave.

    No need for a second invitation, the Final Crewman is outtathere.

    INT. BRIDGE, OIL TANKER -- SAME TIME

    The CAPTAIN is on a SAT-PHONE.

    CAPTAINSir, we have a potential leak. Corecompromised.

    LEX LUTHOR(Over phone)

    There must be no trace, you knowwhat to do?

    The realization hits the Captain like a brick to the face.

    CAPTAINYes, sir, I do.

    LEX LUTHOR(Over phone)

    Then we have nothing left todiscuss.

    The Captain puts down the phone. Flicks open a controlpanel.

    He takes a moment to look at his crew. They know.

    A deep breath...contemplating- Flicks the switch in aninstant, like removing a plaster quickly to avoid the pain.

    CLOSE ON: A COUNTDOWN 1:00...0:59...0:58

    The Captain looks up- suddenly has to steady himself.

    EXT.SOUTH PACIFIC OCEAN -- DAY

    The TANKER IS SINKING at an incredible rate. Arching forwardas it goes under.

    INT. ENGINE ROOM, OIL TANKER -- SAME TIME

    THE SHIP GROANS. The Metal Man steps forward. Places anaffectionate hand on the Core-

    KLAXONS SOUND- The Core seals itself off in an instant.

    METAL MANNo.

    The Metal Man tries to tear off the SEALING CHAMBER- PUNCHESIT- not even a dent- tries again- no effect.

    Concentrates. The Tentacles try to break down the steel,like they did the Rocket Launcher- a severe headache takeshold- The Metal Man falls to the ground.

    Water begins gushing into the engine room.

    BACK ON THE BRIDGE

    The WINDOWS GIVE WAY- Water stampedes over the crew.

    EXT. UNDER THE SOUTH PACIFIC OCEAN -- DAY

    The BOAT falls to the bottom of the ocean.

    INT. BRIDGE, OIL TANKER -- SAME TIME

    CLOSE ON: COUNTER AS IT REACHES THE END OF ITSCOUNTDOWN...5...4...3

    INT. ENGINE ROOM, OIL TANKER -- SAME TIME

    Metal Man floats in the water. No air bubbles appear fromhis mouth. His eyes stare at the engine as it reachescritical levels.

    EXT. UNDER THE SOUTH PACIFIC OCEAN -- DAY

    A moment- then the SHIP COLLAPSES IN ON ITSELF- unleashingall the built up energy in a MASSIVE BLAST-

    OCEAN SURFACE

    BOOM!- DEBRIS SCATTERS INTO THE AIR AS THE BLAST BURSTSTHROUGH THE OCEANS SKIN.

    FOCUS ON: FLOATING METAL HAND-

    BACK UNDER THE OCEAN

    The ground begins to TREMOR. CRACKS release BUBBLES AND SANDuntil engulfed in darkness-

    FADE TO:

    EXT. METROPOLIS -- DAY

    DUST. TICKING of cooling metal. Moving out of the dust animage begins to emerge- Metropolis. Broken. Destroyed.

    A COLD WIND blows dust off a Buildings skeletal remains.

    An UPBEAT MALE VOICE, with an infomercial tone, startstalking over the horrific scenes of devastation.

    UPBEAT MALE (V.O.)Dreams.

    Various shots of people stumbling from wreckage, lookinglost and visibly injured.

    UPBEAT MALE (V.O.)When did our greatest city stopdreaming?

    INT. METROPOLIS GRAND STATION -- DAY

    Footage looks to be taken from a mobile phone. It isstruggling to find a shot.

    UPBEAT MALE (V.O.)Was it the day we learned thetruth?

    Finally it lands a killer shot- SUPERMAN, HANDS AROUND ZODSNECK- this is the final moments of their epic showdown.

    [Note: The Family he is protecting are out of shot.]

    UPBEAT MALE (V.O.)That the monsters in our worstnightmares-

    SUPERMAN SNAPS ZODS NECK- Image freezes on an unflattering-aggressive- looking Superman...

    UPBEAT MALE (V.O.)-Were real.

    BACK TO CITY

    LEXCORP MEDICAL STAFF run to the injured. Wrap cloths aroundthem. Carry CHILDREN. All care, all smiles...All propaganda.

    UPBEAT MALE (V.O.)Well, LexCorp never stoppeddreaming.

    Voice becomes more upbeat- if thats possible.

    HIGH ABOVE THE DEVASTATED CITY

    Looking down on all the devastation- suddenly the imagesspeed up to an insane rate- construction crews moving in andout- debris clears- the frames of new buildings erect at abreathtaking rate.

    UPBEAT MALE (V.O.)In just over three years, LexCorphas invested more money than anyother American company.

    Still at high speed- The FAMOUS DAILY PLANET GLOBE is beinglowered into place, the beginning of an iconic Metropolislandscape.

    UPBEAT MALE (V.O.)Thats three times more than theWayne Foundation- Over ten timesmore that Queen Consolidated.

    INT. MEDICAL FACILITY -- DAY

    CLOSE ON: ADVANCED PROSTHETIC LEGS RUNNING ON A TREAD MILL.

    CHEESY MUSIC KICKS IN.

    Pull back to reveal- A high-tech recovery room. Doctorsmonitor patience- all with a high-tech limb- One Guy crushesa STEEL PIPE with his BIONIC ARM.

    BIONIC ARM GUYS DOCTOREasy, Tim.

    BIONIC ARM GUYSorry, Doc- this is still new tome.

    BIONIC ARM GUYS DOCTORThats OK, Tim, together well getthere.

    Its enough to make you want to throw-up.

    UPBEAT MALE (V.O.)Were not just rebuilding a city.

    A couple of doctors are gathered around a BED RIDDENPATIENT.

    Monitor above the bed: AN X-RAY OF THE PATIENTS CHEST. Allseems normal.

    DOCTOR ONE hits a button on his TABLET. The organs on theX-RAY spring into life.

    Then it hits- HOLY SHIT- THE RIB-CAGE, LUNGS, AND HEART-theyre all ARTIFICIAL.

    UPBEAT MALE (V.O.)Were rebuilding lives.

    The guy on the treadmill stops running. Tired.

    TREADMILL GUYS DOCTORGood work. How do you feel?

    Image pulls back, discover we are watching video on a WALLMOUNTED TV.

    ON MONITOR: Treadmill Guys face, pulls a rehearsed smile.

    TREADMILL GUY(thumb up)

    Great. Thanks LexC-

    Screen goes black.

    WOMANS VOICE (O.S.)What a load of crap.

    A woman lowers the REMOTE CONTROL revealing a sassy,tailored redhead- THE ONE AND ONLY LOIS LANE. Standing ather stood next to STEVE LOMBARD, 40s, in-

    INT. BULL-PIT, DAILY PLANET -- DAY

    The office is awash with activity. Everybody seems to havesomewhere to go, a deadline to meet.

    LOIS LANEWho is gonna buy that?

    (recreates the thumb up shotfrom the chest video)

    STEVE LOMBARDLois, I get that this guy isyour...you know. Boy.

    Lois gives him the "What the fuck you just say look". Shewalks off towards her desk. Steve feeling the need toexplain himself follows.

    STEVE LOMBARD(trying to keep up with Lois)

    You know what I mean. Youre close.So I get why youd be pissed ifsomeone was not on the same page asyou.

    Steve takes her hand stopping her in front of a wall of TVMONITORS. Each one displaying news programs from around theworld. Most involve Superman in heroic acts.

    STEVE LOMBARDHowever, you cant knock what Lexhas done for the city

    (gesturing to monitors)while your boy has been on worldtour-

    Lois glances down at a monitor showing-

    LEXCORP NEWS: Locals make radical claims of Superman beingresponsible for viruses, destroying crops, and causingdisasters...all unsupported, but damaging nonetheless.

    LOIS LANEHe lost everything to save us, anyhope of being with his people, notto be alone...and for what?

    (Gestures to LexCorp News)So we can tear up whats left ofhim. Support a man who is usingthis citys pain as nothing morethan campaign material.

    She turns away heading off at a rate of knots. Steve-pissed- waits a moment before choosing to pursue. Hang backlooking at a monitor showing-

    PERU NATIONAL NEWS: A graphic displays the epicenter of anEarthquake- ITS THE SAME LOCATION AS OUR SUNKEN BOAT.

    STEVE LOMBARDMaybe the people would be a bitmore supportive of him, if hewasnt so secretive- swooping inthen swooping out. How do we knowhe wont end up like that generalguy. Then who will save us then?

    Loiss PHONE BEEPS before she can answer. Her reaction ofjoy is obvious.

    STEVE LOMBARD(Trying to ease the tension)

    Whos that?

    LOIS LANEHopefully the break Ive beenlooking for.

    STEVE LOMBARDWell, just dont print anythinguntil you have proof- Perry hatesit when you go behind his back.

    Lois now gives the "Whoops!" look.

    LOIS LANEWhat? I think Perry has learned tocut me a little slack-

    PERRY WHITE (O.S.)(shouting, furious)

    LOIS, GET YOUR ASS IN HERE.

    Steve looks a little smug.

    PERRY WHITE (O.S.)What the HELL is this?

    INT. PERRY WHITES OFFICE, DAILY PLANET -- DAY

    PERRY WHITE, 60s, holds up a piece of paper- LOISS ARTICLE.

    LOIS LANEIts the truth.

    Perry slams the paper on to his ebony desk-

    PERRY WHITEBASED ON WHAT LOIS?

    Perry walks around his desk with purpose. OLD DAILY PLANETNEWSPAPERS are mounted on the wall. The whole office has aclassic feel to it.

    LOIS LANEI have credible claims-

    PERRY WHITECREDIBLE CLAIMS! Lois if yourclaims were remotely credible Iwouldnt have spent the last hourtalking to Lexs many, expensivelawyers about how many words it isgoing to take in your retractiontomorrow to stop him from suing usback the age of typewriters.

    LOIS LANERetraction. Perry, Ive just got myfirst solid lead...give me twenty

    LOIS LANE (contd)four hours and we wont need aretraction.

    Perry takes a breath. Now hes intrigued. He never couldignore the chance of a story.

    PERRY WHITEIs your lead credible? If theyrejust another aggrieved patienttrying to sue their way to theAmerican dream, I dont want tohear it.

    LOIS LANE(trust me)

    Hes credible. 24 hours. Thats allI need and we get the exclusive onthe real Lex Luthor and everythinghe has been up to.

    Weighting up his options.

    PERRY WHITEYou got 12!- and dont printanything without me checking itfirst, or Ill make damn sure anylawsuit is mailed to you directly.

    (a concerted dont fuck thisup)

    Perry gestures. Lois makes her way out-

    PERRY WHITEOh, before you go. Where is Kent, Ifeel like Ive barely seen his facearound here.

    Lois turns.

    LOIS LANEIve had him chasing up Supermansightings, doing follow up storiesof places hes been active... so,my guess: Peru.

    PERRY WHITEPeru?

    LOIS LANENews came in about 20 minutes ago.Earthquake in the region, 8.3. So,my other guess is...

    EXT. SKIES OVER PERU -- DAY

    Clouds above city

    LOIS LANE (O.S.)...the Superman will be there too.

    SUPERMAN flies past at tremendous speed-

    CITY OF CALLAO, PERU

    CACOPHONY OF DESPERATE PEOPLE, CRUMBLING BUILDINGS, ANDEMERGENCY SERVICES SIRENS.

    A city in mass panic- everyone trying to escape- victimscovered in blood- children covered in the soot of collapsedbuildings.

    A historical fortress- Castillo de Real Felipe- falls intothe harbor below. People scream as an icon of the citycrumbles-

    MAIN SQUARE

    Superman lands like a champ- time slows. Superman appearsnormal speed as the world around him is in slow motion. Hebegins assessing the situation.

    [NOTES THE BELOW WILL BE ONE LONG SHOT, AS IF FLOATINGAROUND THE SCENE]

    - A couple desperately hang out of a window, the buildingengulfed in flames.

    - A truck flipping over as it jack-knifes, heading for asmall family.

    - Large cracks crawl up the building, its structuralintegrity about to give way.

    Here... we...go...

    BACK TO REAL TIME-

    At lighting speed- Superman places himself in front of thetruck- just in time- WHAM!- the metal and steel crush aroundhim- the stand to see-

    Superman not wasting a moment- pushing the truck into thecrumbling building- it acts as a tempory brace- holding thestructures collapse- for now.

    The Couple- desperate- JUMP- Superman guns it- grabbingthem- placing them on the ground-

    SUPERMANGet to high ground- Quickly.

    COUPLE(running away)

    Thank you.

    THE SOUND OF CRUSHING STEEL grabs Supermans attention- thetruck is losing the fight under the weight of the building.

    Superman plants two firm hands- feet crushing into theground- the truck is relived of its duties.

    More STEEL BEAMS start to give way- Superman scans thebuilding- A group of people yet to make it out- if thosebeams go, the building goes no matter what Superman goes-

    Suddenly- RUMBLING THUNDER- a new threat incoming.

    A desperate look appears- Superman knows what is coming-

    HARBORS EDGE

    A SMALL NAVAL SHIP begins to be pulled out towards theOcean. Only the boats anchor stopping it going further.

    The Ship begins to sink- but not sink- the water isreceding. In the distant we see the cause of the RUMBLINGTHUNDER- Shit has just hit the fan- A TSUNAMI IS INBOUND.BACK UNDER THE BUILDING

    Superman- panicked- decision time. The beams wont lastanother couple of minutes- he needs to go if he has anychance of stopping that wave-

    Superman closes his eyes weighing up the god like decisionof choosing who lives or who dies.

    EXT. KENT FARM -- DAY

    FLASHBACK:

    Jonathan Kent, 50s, working on his prized truck. Dam thingwont start again.

    A 16 year old Clark Kent wonders over carrying a footballand a cheeky grin.

    YOUNG CLARKYou know, I could take up football.Money Id get, we could buy you anew truck for everyday of the week.

    JONATHAN KENTI think we both know your fatherput you on this planet to do morethan play football.

    Clark looks down at the ball, frustrated. Another reminderhe isnt normal.

    Jonathan puts down the rags.

    JONATHAN KENTSon, I know this isnt easy for ya.Life rarely is. You see, you have adestiny, Clark.

    Clark glances up at his dad, who is looking out into theworld, as if picturing the great man he will become.

    JONATHAN KENTWhen the world sees you for howspecial you are, youll be facedwith lifes toughest choices, andat times youll doubt yourresolve...but if always do what youbelieve is right...if you show thepeople that youre willing to faceinsurmountable odds to do whatstrue, then youll give the peoplesomething much more than money...orcatching a football ever could.

    Clark appears lost in the words

    YOUNG CLARKWhats that?

    JONATHAN KENTHope, Clark...hope

    CUT TO:

    EXT. CALLAO, PERU -- DAY

    Pan up from the Superman S- Superman opens his eyes- moredetermined than ever- the final group are heading down, butstill a few floors up- SHIT- The support beams about togive-

    SLOW SPEED-

    Superman flies up through the concrete ceiling and floors.The building in slow collapse reaching the-

    6th FLOOR

    The group at the end of the corridor- FUCK IT- Supermanflies at a crazy speed- right past the GROUP OF THREE- thespeed lifts them off their feet- at last second Supermanturns- his back facing the wall-

    SMASH!-

    OUTSIDE THE BUILDING

    Superman breaks through- leaving a massive hole is his wake-slows- waiting-

    BACK TO NORMAL SPEED

    The Group- caught in Supermans slipstream fly out holecreated by Superman- caught one by one- just before thebuilding finally surrenders.

    A quick drop off then Superman is back in the air-

    EXT. CALLAO, PERU -- DAY

    Superman flies to the Tsunami, mother natures mightdwarfing his own- their is no way to stop the wave.

    Superman starts to deep breaths...in...out...in...out.

    Until he sucks in a huge amount of air- his chest expanding-then compressing- along with all that air- then FUCKINGUNLEASHES- Slowing one section of the wave- turning asection to ice- but the rest of the wave powers on.

    Superman runs out of breath- faint- takes a second toregroup.

    Ok. Plan B.

    Closes his eyes. They glow. Brighter. Superman cliches hisfists as if this is even a heat causing him great pain.

    OPENS- The most intense beams of heat burst out- Supermanscreams in agony- the beams smash into the wave- instantlycreating steam- as water evaporates- the wave shrinks as itspreads itself thinner-

    BACK AT THE PORT

    People scramble as they make their way for higher ground-Superman can be seen unleashing another HEAT VISION BURST-

    AT THE WAVE

    Superman has to stop- beams weaker, not as intense-exhausted- smoke emitting from his eyes- he cant stop thewave, although its power is greatly reduced.

    Superman flies back towards the-

    COASTLINE

    Floats above as the wave begins it attack on the port.

    He can see floating bodies. He may have saved hundreds offlives, but the ones he lost still hurts like Hell.

    Something shining in the water grabs his attention- it isdifferent from the other debris.

    Floats down picks up the object- ITS METAL MANS METALLICSPINE AND HEAD. The skin is missing. The robotic eye seemsto stare up at Superman. He gently feels the metal, studiesthe tech...its Kryptonian, at least in inspiration.

    Superman looks up- someone has been grave robbing. PISSED-Superman rockets into the sky.

    INT. HI-TECH LAB -- DAY

    Usual affair of white coats and microscopes. Then we see theexperiments and see this isnt usual at all:

    - ZODS UNDERARMOUR in a heating chamber already at 2000Degrees, but remains in perfect condition.

    - KRYPTONIAN DEBRIS

    - A SINGLE BABY CHILD, STILL IN A BIRTHING MEMBRANE, asurvivor of the birthing chamber. Various computersmonitoring the life signs.

    A TECHNICIAN is packing up his things. Hes nervous. Glancesup at his monitor- A message reads: COPY COMPLETE.

    HE removes a memory card from the computer. Places it in anenvelope addressed to- LOIS LANE, DAILY PLANET.

    Trying to act natural... Deep breaths... As far as othersare concerned he is just finishing for the day.

    TECHNICIAN(to technician across fromhim)

    You got any plans for this evening?

  • CONTINUED: 16.

    The OTHER TECHNICIAN looks up from his microscope. Just alook that saids: FUCK OFF IM WORKING.

    Technician takes the hint- takes the envelope and goes.

    INT. CORNER OFFICE, HI-TECH LAB -- DAY

    Man 50s- Dr EDWARD GROLL watches through the glass windowsoff his office as the Technician boards an elevator.

    He types a few commands into his computer- brings up theTechnicians screen with the COPY COMPLETE MESSAGE- picks upthe phone in an instant. Whoever he is calling is on speeddial- Its LEX LUTHOR.

    EDWARD GROLLSir, we have a problem.

    The Technician exits the base and we are-

    EXT. AIRFORCE BASE -- DAY

    The Technician tries to keep his head down walking pastvarious training training exercises. Like the lab the usualis very unusual:

    - A GUNRANGE with officers firing SONIC RIFLES

    - COMBAT with personal wearing strength enhancing EXO-SUITS

    - A NEW TYPE OF JET FIGHTER struggling to takeoff. Fires aHIGH-CALIBER PULSE CANON with energy similar to theKRYPTONIAN WEAPONS. The metal, the engines all look...ALIEN.

    EDWARD GROLL (O.S.)A level three technician by thename of Franklin White may havegotten cold feet, emails suggest heplans on meeting Lois Lane fron theDaily Planet.

    Franklin walks to a waiting CHOPPER. He makes eye contactwith a battle worn MAN, 60s, wears his uniform like a secondskin- GENERAL LANE.

    The General doesnt shift his gaze.

    EDWARD GROLL (O.S.)We can take care of this on base-

    LEX LUTHOR (O.S.)No.

    Franklin boards the Chopper.

    PILOTWhere ya heading?

    FRANKLIN(clutching bag)

    Metropolis.

    Chopper begins taking off.

    LEX LUTHOR (O.S.)We get the base clean- thesituation there is complex enoughwithout dividing focus.

    INT. LEX INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, METROPOLIS -- DAY

    A MAN with a mustache calmly approaches the security desk.

    LEX LUTHOR (O.S.)Dont worry Doctor...

    The man slides over his PASSPORT. A quick check.

    LEX LUTHOR (O.S.)Mr. White wont be meeting with Ms.Lane.

    The SERCURITY OFFICER stamps the passport, hands it back.

    SERCURITY OFFICERHave a nice stay, Mr. Lawton.

    BACK IN THE OFFICE

    LEX LUTHOR(Over phone)

    How is our other problem?

    Edward brings up a PATIENTS FILE on his computer.

    EDWARD GROLLFixed. We already have an idealcandidate for the process.

    INT. INTENSIVE CARE, MEDICAL FACILITY -- DAY

    TWO MEDICAL PERSONAL walk past a line of patients. All wiredup to various life supporting machines.

    Superman has had enough- punches him hard- takes off halfhis face- Metallos remaining face seems to grin.

    METALLOIs that all youve got?

    Not turning down a challenge- Superman launches anotherpunch- A HEAT BLAST TAKES OFF METALLOS HAND- a SUPER-PUSHSENDS METALLO FLYING into the darkness across the hanger.

    The hand lands on the floor. Superman takes a moment torecover.

    LIGHTS COME ON REVEALING- The ADVANCED FIGHTER JET fromearlier. Metallo is stroking the craft, metal face back onfall display.

    Metallo starts to struggle. Places his hands to his head-falls to his knees in pain.

    Superman pauses- How the Fuck does he know that- Metallosvoice has changed, almost like he is a different person.

    Metallo appears to shake off the pain- PROPELS HIMSELF ATSUPERMAN- SUPERMAN TURNS CATCHES METALLO- SENDS HIM STRAIGHTBACK INTO THE PLANE-

    EXT. AIRFORCE BASE -- CONTINUOUS

    PLANE AND METALLO BURST OUT THE HANGER- LANDING INA HEAP.

    Superman hovers over- Metallo looks done. His pulsatingchest appears to have stopped.

    A BEAT- Shit he is still alive.

    TENTACLES ATTACH TO THE PLANE- IT CRUMBLES- METALLOS BODYGROWS. EXCESS PARTS DROP TO THE FLOOR. HE ADAPTS THE PLANESCORE INTO A NEW POWER SOURCE- THIS IS METALLO 2.0 and hemakes the terminator look like a pussy.

    Superman doesnt have time to take it all in- has to hoverto remain at eye-level.

    TWO MISSILES EMERGE ON METALLOS SHOULDERS- FIRE- SUPERMANMANAGES TO EVADE- BUT TAKES A PUNCH TO THE CHIN- FLIESTHROUGH TWO HANGERS BEFORE HITTING A TANK.

    General Lane watches on.

    METALLO LANDS- PICKS UP SUPERMAN- HEAT VISION CAUSES METALLOTO STUMBLE- SUPERMAN FOLLOWS UP WITH HIS OWN RIGHT HOOK.

    Metallo lands hard. Superman begins approaching.

    GENERAL LANENow!

    The soldiers unleash the Sonic Blasters- intense highfrequency sound-waves. Superman goes down- head pounding.

    Metallos arm transforms into a HIGH-CALIBER PULSE CANON-FIRES- SUPERMAN IS KNOCKED ONTO HIS ASS. The Sonic Blastersseize for a moment as Metallo is back on attack.

    The two exchange blows. Superman- SMASHES METALLO INTO ANFUEL TANKER- BOOM!

    Goes to finish off the Job. The TANKS FIRE- KNOCK SUPERMANDOWN. General Lane never letting Superman have theupper-hand for long.

    The Sonic Blasters again. Superman cant fight the combinedattack. Deep Breath- WHOOSH- the soldiers are sent flyingbackwards.

    Metallo strikes- Superman ducks- Another TANK ROUND- CAUGHT-SUPERMAN PUNCHES METALLO CLEAN IN THE FACE WITH IT-EXPLODES RIGHT OFF HIS CHIN.

    Superman speeds over to the Tanks- bends the canons around.

    Hears Metallo about to strike- SUPERMAN RIPS OFF THE TURRENTOF THE TANK- SMACK- WHAM. METALLO IS ON THE ROPES- BLASTSTHE TURRENT AWAY- GOES ON THE COUNTER WITH A TIDAL WAVE OFPUNCHES.

    Superman tackles Metallo instead of downing down- they areflying up.

    METALLOYou want to go up, then lets goup.

    METALLO wraps his arms around Superman.

    METALLOS BEATING CHEST POWERS UP- Out of his back grow theADVANCED PLANESS PHANTOM DRIVE ENGINES- THEY IGNITE and thetwo rocket upwards.

    METALLOCan you breath in space?

    Superman struggles. Cant get free. Running out of options.

    Metallo begins to strain- the headache again. Arms loosen.Engines power down. Both of them are in FREEFALL.

    Superman regains his composure. For a moment he thinks aboutletting Metallo fall. No. Superman swoops down. Catches anunconscious Metallo. Lands back in the-

    AIRBASE.

    Lays Metallo down.

    Suddenly- a barrage of gunfire- Superman is being hit witheverything the army has. More tanks roll in firing- knockhim backwards. Troops swarm in collect the Metallo body.

    Superman cuts a couple of blasting turrets off with a blastof heat vision.

    Superman locks eyes with the General, who has his poker faceon. If this continues someone will get hurt and he knows it,maybe even wants it. Superman takes to the skies in retreat.

    General Lane walks over to a Private.
