Some industrial / commercial activities are considered as high risk for potential contamination of stormwater and therefore require a pollution control plan to be submitted to the Council to confirm how these high risk activities will be managed. Development sites undertaking these activities may require a trade waste consent, however there may still be a potential for contamination of stormwater from these and associated on-lot activities.
High risk activities require a pollution control plan
• Vehicle workshops.
• Service stations.
• Boat maintenance / repair/ construction.
• Timber storage yards.
• Timber treatment works.
• Road freight depot.
• Bus depot.
• Circuit board/ components manufacturing.
• Breaker yards.
• Recycling depots.
• Tyre depots/ fitters/ disposal.
• Rock/ soil/ aggregate processing/ sorting.
