grime but the framework is well painted underneath. No sign of any rust or fatigue. The main chassis rails are 480 x 130 fabricated I beams with alternate 125 x 65 channel and 100 x 50 channel cross members at 480mm centres.

BODY: The main bed of the trailer is 8700mm long x 2900mm wide. There is a 1200mm long beaver tail and 1900mm long hydraulic ramps at the rear. The ramps are adjustable and can be moved in from the outside edges of the deck to 600mm closer together. Each ramp can slide sideways 300mm. The area above the gooseneck is fully decked with steel chequer plate over the kingpin area and timber decking on the remainder. The timber decking is mainly sound however there are a couple of broken boards in the centre. The decking on the main bed consists of fairly well used timber over the front half and steel over the rear axles. The steel decking is intact but undulates 30mm between supports. The timber decking is basically sound but fairly chewed on the top surface with one broken board. 250 x 90 heavy channel combing rails are nice and straight. The deck to ground height is 900mm.

MECHANICAL: 10 ton axles with 3 spoke oil hubs on air suspension. Brake linings not viewed - unable to adequately see inside the peep holes due to the suspension beams. GENERAL: This is a very well made transporter trailer ready for immediate work. A few deck repairs due but nothing major.

adjacent to nylon wear blocks at the trailing edge of the suspension arms. There has been several further weld repairs surrounding the pin housings at the front of the suspension arms. The cross members are made from 205 x 135 Universal Beams at 880mm centers. The combing rails are built from 250 x 90 channel. The main bed of the trailer looks nice and straight on top and the goosedeck superstructure is clean and well painted with no visible faults.

BODY: The trailer dimensions are: Main Bed - 9750mm. Beaver tail - 1050mm. Ramps - 1900mm. The bed width is 3095mm. The deck comprises of steel sheet with timber overlay. The timber has deteriorated and fallen off the deck area over the top of the rear axles and the timber decking towards the front of the trailer is heavily worn with some large broken boards in the centre area. The steel sheet where exposed undulates by 50mm between supports. There is a chain locker and lockable toolbox at the front of the deck immediately behind the gooseneck structure. The rear ramps are hydraulically operated.

MECHANICAL: 10 ton ROR axles with 3 spoke grease hubs on hydraulic suspension. The axle configuration is oscillating 3 rows of 8. Remaining brake lining wear: First axle - 90% both sides. Second axle - LH 75%, RH 50%. Third axle - LH 90% & 50%, RH 70% & 90%. There are some gaps (30mm) evident between the nylon wear blocks at the trailing end of the main suspension arms and the adjacent wear plates which are affixed on the inside faces of the chassis webs. The gooseneck has fixings for either standard or heavy duty king pins. There are some bolting plates on the inside of the gooseneck where a winch was attached however there is no winch now. Fitted with manual drop-down landing legs.

CHASSIS & UNDERFRAME: The superstructure underneath the trailer looks in good condition - reasonably clean and well painted with no visible rust or fatigue. The hopper bin forms the main superstructure of the trailer with a subchassis made from 300 x 130 I beam at the rear to support the axle bogie. There has been a flitch plate and weld repair on the top flange of the cross member supporting the rear edge of the fifth wheel plate. A 150mm long hair-line crack has appeared on the RH lower strut of the gooseneck assembly approximately 700mm in front of the base of the hopper bin. A couple of further minor fatigue cracks require welding at the upper part of the front wall of the vee bin adjacent to where the top combing rails attach inside.

BODY: The hopper body consists of a double vee bin with four pneumatically operated gates. The gates are 700mm wide and each one is operated by three air servos. The unload flow rate is controlled by conventional spreader chains on the bottom of each door. The body of the bin is in good condition with no obvious wear or damage to report. The exterior paintwork is in tidy condition.

The double vee hopper bin makes up the main chassis of the trailer and the rear axle bogie is mounted on a sub-chassis made from 300 x 130 fabricated I beams. There has been one weld repair (200mm long) at the top left corner of the rear hopper adjacent to where the rear end of the LH combing rail attaches. The forward end of the superstructure where the fifth wheel plate is mounted all looks in good condition - clean and well painted with no rust or fatigue evident.

BODY: The hopper bin is a double vee construction with three pneumatically operated doors at the bottom of each compartment. The doors have air operated latches and spreader chains to control the out-flow rate. All of the steel panels around the vee bin are in good condition with no notable damage and the paintwork on the outside is quite tidy. The bin doors can be operated by a remote control unit so that the trailer can be readily used on any tractor unit with out necessarily having hard wiring to operate the trip mechanism.

CHASSIS & UNDERFRAME: Looks in good condition. The steelwork underneath the trailer is reasonably clean and well painted with no obvious rust or fatigue. The main chassis rails are 430mm x 100mm fabricated I beams.

BODY: 6700mm long steel bathtub deck with 1250mm high fixed sides. Radius corners. Top swing, air latch tailgate. BFOB hoist. The ribbed steel deck has seen a fair bit of hard work. The sides and floor are extensively bruised and the top edges of the sides have been badly knocked around. There have been a couple of over-plate sheets fitted at the rear of the deck and the seam between these has worn through and requires rewelding. The deck undulates by 50mm between supports. The paintwork on the exterior of the deck is shot flaking off with surface rust becoming established. This deck is still servicing its purpose but would be best suited to rock or demolition cartage.

MECHANICAL: 10 ton 10 stud axles on 8 leaf spring suspension. The spring slipper pads have been replated at the front of the first axle springs and rear of the second axle springs. All of the spring slipper pads currently show moderate wear - (3mm). Remaining brake lining wear: First axle - 80% both sides. Second axle - LH 75%, RH 60%. All four brake drums have an approximately 2mm lip. Brakes were easy to assess as there were no back-plates fitted.

Fitted with an older style pole and A-frame drawbar with metal pivots and a 40mm Ringfeder tow eye. The A-frame of the drawbar has been made from two 76 x 38 channels welded face to face to form a box section. The drawbar is certified with a 17000kg MTM rating. BODY: The aluminum bottom dumper has double hoppers and is generally in very presentable condition. There are a couple of minor dings in the exterior cladding on the RH side and one or two areas where old fatigue cracks have been welded up. The hopper doors are pneumatically operated with two servos to shut each door and one to open each door. Much of the mechanism to open the doors is also built from aluminum and one or two fatigue cracks have been welded up over the years as would be expected for the age of the trailer. The aluminum cladding on the bin and exterior superstructure all looks in tidy condition with no obvious wear or damage. The bin measures 5800mm long at the longest point and there are hardwood wear strips bolted on each side for combing rails. MECHANICAL: 10 ton axles with 10 stud oil hubs on 8 leaf spring suspension. The spring slipper pads are in good condition with only minor to moderate wear evident. The rear two slipper pads on the front axle have been replated at some stage. The RH spring slipper pad on the rear axle has worn through and is due for replating. Remaining brake lining wear: First axle - 95% both sides. Second axle - 50% both sides. TRACKS: Grousers are in good condition. Chains and rollers appear serviceable and the sprocket have little wear.

COMMENTS: An old D7E. The vendor advises that new track chains, rollers and idlers were fitted 10 years ago. Since then the pivots and blade spears have been replaced. The transmission was checked and serviced 12 years ago. This machine has done little ours in the last 10 years. The vendor also advises that the engine runs but the donkey motor has a broken crankshaft and a second hand one has been sourced from Australia. This is currently being fitted. The machine has a 3 speed powershift transmission. 3500mm Blade with a good bolt-on cutting edge. The winch is off a D7G and is in serviceable condition with wire. The operators area is basic but functional and is fully caged. The exterior has a considerable amount of surface rust understandably with a machine of this age but would make a good project for someone capable of restoring this old girl.

CAB INTERIOR: Fair. The operators seat in this bulldozer is in a very worn condition. It currently has a cover on it but on removal of the cover the original upholstery is well worn right to the padding. Armrest on the RH side is completely disintegrated and is down to the bare timber. The armrest on the LH side is okay. Painted areas and roof lining are acceptable and show the normal wear and tear for a machine of this age. Dash area and controls all functional. Floor mats are dirty and could do with a good clean.

EXTERIOR PANELS: Starting to show its age and paintwork is faded. Steps leading up to the operators cab have been hit by the loose tracks and over a period of time have been pushed up. There has been some damage in the post around the RH edge of the diesel tank which has weld repairs. ROPS cab and fittings still functional. Cab windows and rubbers in good condition.

FUNCTIONAL EQUIPMENT: Moderate to heavy wear on the lift ram ball joints, side arm trunions and draft arm front knuckles. Heavy wear on the lift ram yokes, tilt ram eyelets and lift ram pivots. There is some minor oil leakage around the blade ram hydraulic pipe fittings. The blade has a four piece cutting edge which will need to be replaced in the very near future. The rippers on the back are on four point linkage and have three ripping shanks. The width of the ripper bar is 2100mm. Moderate to heavy wear on the lift arm eyelet for the rippers.

MECHANICAL: Work dirty but started well and ran smoothly with clean emission. There is some oil dampness around the rocker cover breather pipe and fuel leakage around one injector pipe. The Vendor advises that a full engine recondition, by Goughs, was completely at approximately 14000 hours.

GENERAL: This is a well used tractor and is starting to show some signs of wear and tear especially in the track department. The areas around the blade and blade lift rams will need some attention in the near future.

EXTERIOR PANELS: Most of the bodywork around the loader is in good condition with no significant rust or damage with the exception of both cab doors which have suffered impact damage at the leading edges. The lower part of the RH door is kinked inwards by 50mm and this has broken and dislodged the window. The LH door has also been hit at the front edge kinking the frame by 30mm. Paintwork has seen better days, aged and faded with extensive scrapes, scratches and surface rust becoming established in places.FUNCTIONAL EQUIPMENT: The loader superstructure is complete but has seen a good few years of hard work. No notable damage or fatigue and most of the pins and bushes are greased. Both crowd ram seals are leaking. There is minor wear evident on the lift rams bottom pins and moderate to heavy wear on the lift rams forward eyelets. Only minor wear in the lift arm base pins and lift arm / bucket junction pins. Moderate to heavy wear (5mm of play) in the crowd rams front eyelets and crowd links front eyelets. Moderate to heavy wear also in the crowd relay arm trunions. Minor wear in the crowd rams rear eyelets. 2400mm wide bucket but has a few patch repairs and is looking a little thin in the rear curve of the body. Fitted with eight teeth with one wear cap. MECHANICAL: The engine is absolutely filthy with oil and grime. It is difficult to determine where the oil has come from but I suspect the rocker cover joints are leaking. Cold started well and ran smoothly with clean emission. The tail pipe has rusted out where it attaches to the muffler. Steering ram eyelets have minor to moderate wear. No notable play in the main chassis pivot. Forward, reverse, steering and loader functions all operating as expected. GENERAL: An older machine that has given many years of service. Still in day to day use on stockpile work and seems to perform its duties well. Cab interior could do with a refurbish and some fresh paint would improve its appearance.

TYRES: 8.25 x 20 Smooth surface roller tyres in average condition.

COMMENTS: This Sakai pneumatic tyred roller is in poor condition. Engine runs but needed a jump start. Unsure of the model but looks like a TS150. Unable to move but chains and sprockets appear to be okay. Body panels covered in surface rust. The seven tyres are in an acceptable condition but the RH rear outer appears to be a little soft and the walls are starting to deteriorate. Would be good for spares or make a good refurbishment project for someone equipped to take on this machine.

TRACKS: 4250mm long x 500mm wide flat tracks. Chain bushes feel nice and round. Links and shoes good. Only minor wear evident on the idlers and rollers. Sprockets have minor to moderate wear. Adjusters are approximately 25% engaged.

COMMENTS: The machine superstructure is in good condition. All the steelwork is clean and well painted with no sign of rust or fatigue. A 3000mm wide x 1900mm deep tapered infeed hopper has a grizzly screen at the crusher end and a large twin shaft vibrator underneath. The infeed hopper is mounted on springs and the vibrator has a variable speed control to operate the rate of gravel feed into the crusher unit. The rotary crusher comprises of approximately a 600mm diameter drum with four 100mm thick two-piece hammers which are removable. The hammers pass the material past two adjustable backboards. The backboards have a release mechanism to disengage if the crusher drum becomes overloaded. The rear backboard has a spring relief mechanism.

The grizzly screen on the infeed hopper passes fines directly onto the single outfeed conveyor and the remaining material passes through the crusher and drops onto the same belt. The outfeed conveyor is hinged at the base with a removable fixed link at the hopper end which can be changed in length to set the outfeed conveyor discharge height. The outfeed conveyor is approximately 9m long and the discharge height is presently 2000mm. Where the outfeed conveyor leaves the main structure of the machine a static magnet is housed above. This has a slat conveyor and lifts steel debris off the outfeed material passing it out to the side of the machine. This is used for demolition crushing.

There are four auxiliary hydraulic circuits on the machine - one of which is in use to drive the magnet slat conveyor. The body panels around the machine are in tidy condition with no notable rust or damage. Paintwork presentable. The 900mm wide rubber belt on the outfeed conveyor is well used but still in serviceable condition. The machine is presently in use as a secondary crusher but can be used in either primary or secondary applications with a crushing range of approximately 100mm down to 20mm. The machines engine is a little dusty but there are no notable leaks. Running smoothly with clean emission - in work at time of inspection. The main crusher housing has bolting flanges and hydraulics rams so that the entire top can be hinged over for replacing hammers or cheek plates on the inside of the main housing. The cheek plates are held in position by a matrix of stub shafts with drop wedges.

The crane cab interior is also reasonably tidy. Grey fabric seat upholstery is in good condition. The instruments, controls and switches etc are all tidy and original. Most of the interior is just plain painted panels and these are generally okay however the paint has flaked off with surface rust getting started around some of the lower regions and some crusty rust has developed around the rear edge of the roof where it joins the rear wall and this has distorted the flange between the two panels and some water is starting to get in. The very small rear window has a crack in the middle - remaining windows and window rubbers good.

EXTERIOR PANELS: The fibreglass carrier cab is in tidy condition with no notable damage. Some surface rust is blistering the paint on the steel rain guttering above both doors (nothing serious). Most of the body panels around the crane machine deck including the side access doors are in very good condition. There is one strip of rust which is blistering the paint along the bottom edge of one of the RH side access doors. Remaining panels generally good with no notable damage. One area of rust requires a clean up before it gets any worse being the top rear corner of the crane operators cab. The carrier unit is fully decked (including the mudguards and clip-on rear axle) in aluminum chequer plate and this is in excellent condition and looks very smart.

FUNCTIONAL EQUIPMENT: The crane comes with 48m of boom and 42m of fly jib. This crane can be used as a conventional boom unit however its unique application is that the main boom and can be operated in a vertical or near vertical position and with the enormous fly jib functions as a tower crane configuration. All of the lattice boom and lattice jib steelwork is clean and well painted. There are four winches: Boom luff, Jib luff, Main and Auxiliary. The manufacturers specification sheets advise that the crane can be set up with a 72m boom and a 48m jib however included with the crane as mentioned is 48m of boom and 42m of jib. The manufacturers lifting capacity range as follows: Main boom only: With 9m of boom 125 ton at 3.5m radius through to with 48m of boom 6.3 ton at 42m radius. Capacities with Luffing Jib: 12m Boom & 12m Jib = 46 tons at 9m radius to 48m Boom & 42m Jib = 5.2 tons at 46m radius. There are 31 tons of removable counterweights which are removed for road transportation giving a road weight of 65000kg.

MECHANICAL: The Vendor advises that the Carrier had a new engine fitted just before he purchased the unit and the engine has done 1091 hours since being fitted. A new Alison transmission was fitted at the same time. The crane is powered by Deutz F6L413V 164 hp. The crane engine is work dirty with a couple of minor oil leaks. The Vendor advises that it runs well with clean emission. The carrier is six wheel drive. The drive axles are the front axle and rear bogie. The rear most axle is a clip-on unit and when removed there are some manual wind-down stabiliser legs to attach if required. The Vendor advises that he seldom removes the rear axle. There are four steering axles (with the rear tag axle attached). Only the drive bogie is non-steering. Load sharing hydraulic suspension on all axles. The hydraulic suspension can be activated manually so that the Carrier can be moved carefully when fully rigged with the boom and fly jib.

GENERAL: This crane is in very tidy condition and can be put straight into work. The unique configuration of being a mobile tower crane would prove very handy for anyone in mid-sized construction work. Excellent up and reach-over characteristics. The manufacturers lift ratings with outriggers fully extended are: 25000kg at 2.5m radius with a 9.5m boom through to 950kg at 27.3m radius with a 30.5m boom. Included with the crane is a 25 ton eight part hook and a single fall hook. The crane mechanism is in top working condition.

MECHANICAL: Engine clean and dry with no visible leaks. Cold started instantly and ran smoothly with clean emission. Presently in day to day use. Four wheel drive and four wheel steer.

GENERAL: This is a very tidy crane in good working condition. The latest annual safety certificate expires in Aug 2011.

TRACKS: 5300mm long x 920mm wide flat tracks. Heavy wear on one side of the chain bushes. Links and shoes look okay however a couple of track pins have worked loose on the LH chain. Minor wear on the idlers. Moderate wear on the top and bottom rollers. Adjusters are at 50% engaged. Sprockets worn out and due for replacement.

CAB INTERIOR: Tidy. The vinyl seat upholstery has a couple of splits in the cushion and the armrests have some fatigue but still intact and doing its job with an aid of a sheepskin cover. The instrument panel, instruments, switches and controls are all reasonably tidy and original. The interior of the cab has been lined with grey marine carpet and this is in presentable condition. There is a bullet hole in the rear window - remaining windows and window rubbers okay. Therre is some surface rust lifting the paint along the bottom of the front window and at the base of the seat pedestal. Generally a tidy and functional interior but due for a clean.

EXTERIOR PANELS: The body panels around the machine are tidy with no notable rust or damage. The paintwork has aged and faded with surface rust becoming established mainly on top side surfaces. The whole machine would benefit from a fresh coat of paint however the steelwork itself is in good condition.

FUNCTIONAL EQUIPMENT: The bucket wheel is 5500mm in diameter and has ten .25 cubic metre buckets with link chain bottoms. The main boom supporting the bucket wheel raises approximately 6m from ground level and should cut a face 9m high. The bucket wheel feeds a 7300mm long input conveyor and the processed material then drops through a centre turret onto a 16m outfeed conveyor. The outfeed conveyor as pictured is almost fully lowered and on a brief calculation should raise approximately a further 10m in height. The height is raised and lowered by means of a hydraulic ram onto a simple wire rope stirrup. The outfeed conveyor belt is 1000mm wide and is in used but serviceable condition. The outfeed conveyor belt is supported by suspended vee rollers at 1m centres and these are designed for quick change maintenance. The outfeed conveyor pivots sideways independently from the rest of the machine but once the pivot control is released the outfeed conveyor then maintains its position relative to the tracks. The bucket wheel boom is in fixed relationship to the main machine deck and cab and this pivots from side to side in a normal slew motion. The bucket wheel operates at approximately 70 buckets per minute giving a capacity of 17 cu m per minute. The superstructure around the machine including the main tower, bucket wheel boom and outfeed conveyor all looks in good condition with no obvious fatigue or damage. The main tower and track frame have large bolting plates so the machine can be stripped down for transportation. The Vendor estimates its tare weight as pictured to be approximately 100 ton.

MECHANICAL: The Caterpillar engine is work dirty with some minor oil dampness below the injector pump on the LH side of the block and a minor oil leak at the front cover plate of the water pump drive. Required jumper assistance but cold started well with some blue smoke initially which cleared as the engine warmed up. The engine ran smoothly with clean emission once warm and all the functions of the machine were demonstrated and working as expected. Bolted on the rear of the engine is an offset transfer case and then a driveshaft into the main transmission which drives several hydraulic pumps with a further PTO shaft driving a 240 volt generator plant. All of the hydraulic valves have 240 volt electro / hydraulic actuators. We’re advised that there is ample power coming from the generator to run plenty of floodlights for around the clock use of the machine. All of the conveyors and track gear etc look to have very similar drive motors which are Hydromatik A2F170-W271.

GENERAL: This is an older machine that has given many years of good service but looks basically sound, operates as expected and still well capable or earning its keep. An incredibly efficient mover of material. Would benefit greatly from a fresh coat of paint.

SPARES: Included with this machine is a large quantity of spare parts. There is a 20ft container with various spare parts inside including a complete used track final drive assembly, used slew gearbox, numerous hydraulic hoses, new and used hydraulic motors, bucket bottom chain sets, bucket teeth, transmission shafts & gears and various other components. Also there are two complete spare used track chains with swamp shoes.

saddle look in good condition also. The hydraulic jaws are mounted on a 2500mm wide crosshead and this has one weld repair in the centre web. Looks a tidy job. The jaws are slid manually across the crosshead with hydraulic locks to hold them in position. One jaw can be situated in the centre for sheet pile or with both jaws set fully apart will handle 1800mm diametre cylinders. Jaws fully together will fit inside a 550mm diametre cylinder. The Vendor advises that both hydraulic drive vibrators have been renewed in recent years. The Vibro head sits in an upright position in a well made transportation cradle. The base of the cradle is built from 310 x 300 Universal Beams. Transportation dimensions are: 2500mm wide x 3150mm high. The machine is complete with hydraulic hoses but these are well used with some heavy chaffing in places. The hydraulic powerpack is mounted on a sturdy steel skid base. The exterior panels including the access doors are in tidy condition. There is no notable rust or damage. Roof mounted muffler has a couple of dings. All of the access doors open, shut and latch properly. There are a couple of small areas of rust which have eaten through the lower side panels adjacent to the engine radiator. The roof panel has a few minor deflections but nothing consequential. Paintwork presentable but a little faded and some areas of flaking require a touch up. The Caterpillar engine inside is exceptionally clean and dry. Not heard running however the Vendor advises that it goes very well. There are several hydraulic pumps mounted on a transfer case attached to the end of the engine. This is a tidy pile driving unit ready for further work.

diameter. The engine is reasonably clean and dry with no obvious leaks. Not heard running due to flat batteries however the Vendor advises that it goes very well. There is a remote console including electric start and drive controls on Morse cables which is long enough so that it can be run back to the crane operators cab. The instrument panel with guages and warning lights is in tidy condition and this is mounted on the very front of the machine deck below the radiator grille. The body panels around the exterior of the machine are mainly tidy - just a couple of minor dents in the top engine cover. The machine deck attaches to the top side of the trunk by three pin lugs. The 1150mm wide trunk is constructed in a vee section style with a 200mm diametre base pin and hydraulic back-stays. There has been a number of weld repairs to the rear section of the trunk with 100 x 20mm flats welded along the full length of the top flange on both sides. There has also been some additional weld repairs and plate strengthening on the centre cross member where the back-stay rams are attached. The repairs look to have been done to a good standard with no sign of any further trouble. The trunk has lift-off walkways on both sides however the handrails are missing. The machine deck reaches 1200mm beyond the forward pins in the trunk. There is an 1150mm heavy duty spacer with pin lugs to attach to the front of the operating crane and the base pin of the trunk attaches to the forward end of the spacer assembly. I would estimate the reach of the total assembly from the front of the crane to the centre of the drill collar to be 6m. The drill rig comes complete with a 48m four stage kelly bar. Also included are one 800mm auger and a 630mm diametre mud bucket with an opening bottom.

COMMENTS: This is a 7000 litre stainless steel water tank. The tank is in a reasonable condition with just some minor damage on the LH side. This damage consists of a couple of small indentations and some scratch marks. The measurements of this tank are 4000mm long x 1800mm wide. The bearers are 3870 x 1500mm wide. There has been some welding work on the front end of the tank at the top and also on the bottom where an outlet pipe has been fitted. This tank has been used for household water. The ladder on the side of the tank has been hit at the bottom and is slightly off centre however still usable. Overall this tank is in workable condition.
