Lakme Fashion Week August 2014

Lakme Fashion Week is a bi-annual fashionevent that takes place in Mumbai. Its

Summer-Resort show takes place in February

while the Winter-Festive show takes place in

August.

Run by the Fashion Design Council of India

and sponsored by Lakme, it is considered as apremier fashion event in India. The very first

such event took place in 1999.

International models such as Naomi

Campbell as well as Indian film stars such as

Deepika Padukone, Malaika Arora Khan and

Arjun Rampal have participated in the Lakme

Fashion show events over the years.

International labels such as Louis Vuitton,

Dolce & Gabbana and Roberto Cavalli have

been a part of the Lakme Fashion Week.

Famous Indian Fashion Designerssuch as

Manish Malhotra, Rohit Bal, Tarun Tahilani

and Ritu Beri have also been an integral

part of the Lakme Fashion Week events.

Indian Fashion Designers at Lakme Fashion

Week 2014

The Lakme Fashion Week 2014 Summer-Resort show has witnessed many mind-blowing designs and creative works of the fashion industry, courtesy of the verytalented Indian fashion designers.

Model turned actress Lisa Haydon, walked the ramp on Day 02 of the ongoingLakme Fashion Week Summer-Resort 2014 along with Farhan Akhtarswife,celebrity hairstylist Adhuna Akhtar.

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez walked the ramp for one of thecelebrated Indian Fashion Designers, Tarun Tahilani at the ongoing Lakme FashionWeek Summer-Resort 2014 in Mumbai.

Jacqueline Fernandez made a stunning bride as she walked down the ramp in a redanarkali with gold zari borders, the theme of the show being bridal collection.

Tarun Tahilaniscollection was a contemporary take on saris, lehengas, sherwanis

and anarkalis, keeping in mind traditional ethnic prints and embroideries. The Ram-Leela actress, Richa Chadda was a stunner as she turned showstopper for

designer Sounia Gohil.

Sounia Gohilscollection was a mix of Indian elements transformed into Indo-western creations.
