Brief Introduction

TP5 Image Route Edit Software is a basic applied software of Microsoft. It occupies little computer space, and, you can use it by just copying the main program TP5 (En).exe and relevant documents to your computer without installation. Note: Font library file is a file with the extension name （.font）, which is in the same folder with

TP5 Image Route Edit Software. These files is mainly to define the size and the form of the LED font.Shown as fig.1:

Introduction of Interface

The interface of the software includes both toolbar and the window of the operation. The interface would emerge as follows:

Operation of the Software

1. To Open the Software

Copy the software from the attached disk to the local disk. Double click the icon of the software. The icon would emerge as below.

Let’s see the toolbar:

□ Open the graph-text line editing software, and then a new blank file is

to be created. If you want to create a new file, you just have to click the icon.

□ Click the icon, and then select the file you need to open in the popup

dialog box.

□ save the present file.

□ save the present file as another file.

□ export the date of the editorial routes. The suffix name of the

exported date is “td5”.

□ conduct the date operation of different guide boards.

□ revise the relevant parameters.

2. To Edit the Company’s Information

Edit company’s information before editing routes.

① Click the icon , you will see such an interface.

Input the company name in the popup dialog box, and then click the icon

to add the company name to the left box.

② If you need to add more company names, input the needed names in the box

, and then click the icon .

③ If you need to insert a company name, you have to click a name in the left box

before inserting needed company name into the box , and then click

the icon .The inserted name would show overhead the chosen one.

④ If you need to revise a company name, you have to click the company name you would like to revise in the left box and input the correct name into the

box , and then click the icon .

⑤ If you need to delete a company name, you have to click the company name you

would like to delete in the left box, and then click the icon .

⑥If the edited names in the wrong order, you can click the icon

or to adjust it.

⑦ When you finish inputting all the routes information, click the

icon .

3. To Edit Route

Select the company name of the routes you are going to edit in the

box , then click the icon . The

interface would emerge as follows.

① Input the route number, name of first station and name of terminal station into the

box , and respectively,

and then click the icon to add the editorial routes information

to the left box. ② If you need to add, insert, revise and delete the routes information or adjust the order of the routes information, you can follow the above-mentioned ways of editing company information. ③If the routes need to be adjusted in descending order or ascending order of routes

number, you should click the icon or , and then click

to edit the order.

④ Click the icon after finishing editing all the information.

Note: The routes of each company can be edited up to 200. And it can store 1000 routes.

4. To Set the Screen Parameter

Click the icon . The interface would show as follows.

Screen parameter is referring to the pixel of guide board and the range of luminance. If the height of the guide board is 16 points and the number of the words is 13, the width should be calculated in this way, 16×13=208.Whatever the height is, the Calculation Formula of width is 16×(the number of the words)=width. In terms of setting luminance, it should be set brighter during the day since the light is sufficient during the day. On the contrary, the luminance should be set darker in the evening. We

advise the client that the luminance should be set as 10 during the day and 4 in the evening.

5. To Edit the Displayed Content on the Guide Board

Insure the icon of front board is sunk if you need to edit the displayed

content on the guide board. Only in this way can you ensure that current contents edited belong to the front board.

(1) Select Up Description and Down Description by ticking

Look at the icon . You can click the icon

to export the date of up description to the down description if the data

of the up description and the down description are the same.

(2)Add one more displayed content of screen

Set “Move In Mode”, “Move Speed” and “Show Time” respectively. □ “Move in Mode” means the mode for the contents on the screen to move in. □ “Move Speed” means how fast the contents move on the screen. □ “Show Time” means the time for the displayed contents on the screen. (It makes

no difference in terms of rolled contents.) Note: ① The ways of editing the contents of the front board, back board and side board are the same. ② If there are too many displayed contents on the screen, the contents would roll.

Caution! Eight screens are the maximum for a route. Fifty Chinese characters or 100 letters are the maximum for each screen.

6.To Select Act Mode and Set the Height and Width o f

the Graph-text

Select an act mode and set height and width of the graph-text according to actual conditions. Look at the icon. There are seven act modes. Let’s introduce them one by one.

: For route number (like 529) or destination name (like Taihe) or

sentence (like “From Taihe to Guangzhou Railway Station”).

: Usually part A for name of first station, part B for route number

and part C for destination name.

: Usually Part A for route number, part B for destination name in

one language (for example, Chinese) and part C for destination name in other language (for example, English).

: Usually Part A for route number, part B for destination name in

one language (for example, Chinese) and part C for destination name in other language (for example, English).

: Usually part A for route number and part B for destination name.

: Usually part A for destination name in one language (for example,

Chinese) and part B for destination name in other language (for example, English).

: Usually part B for route number, part A and part D for one

destination name in different languages and part C and part E for another destination name in different languages.

After finishing selecting suitable act mode and setting the height and width of

graph-text, click the icon .

★★★★EXAMPLE:

Base on the found line, you can select the act mode and

set the corresponding height and width , then click

the icon that you can add the mode successfully. After adding, if you want to

change the act mode or adjust the corresponding height and width of figures, you

should select the right one or set the right figures firstly, then click the icon .

(1)Edit part B: Click the icon to enter the edit area of part B:

Cause the route number will be displayed in this part, and the width is defined:

b=6*8(that means this area can display three words, for each word’s width is 16), when you enter

‘228’in the content field and click the icon ,it will be shown like:

The tools to adjust the graph-text content to the ideal site:

(2)Edit part A: Just like the part B, you need to enter the edit area of part A first. For the width (a=8*8) and height(c=8) is defined by youself, when enter the origin station name ‘Bus Terminal at Suigang Dock ‘ in the content field, that shows like:

We can see the words in blue, which is the part beyond the defined, means it will be displayed dynamically. The edit methods of other parts are the same.

7. To Make Pictures

It’s very easy to make picture. We can make picture directly in the operation box without the use of special tools or editor of Windows XP. Look at the operation box.

（1）Click the icon if you need to edit words. The interface on the left would

emerge as follows.

Suppose you have selected the act mode , edit the information in

the corresponding part (for example,) after setting the width of the

first name and route number. Adjust the words when necessary. If you need to revise

the words, click the icon after revising the words in the box . If

you need to adjust the position of the words, click the icon

(to the right/left/middle/top/bottom/center).

Note: There are two kinds of fonts to select. They are customized font and system font. ①Customized font was developed by our company for the graph-text with low pixel. The aim is to make the graph-text look clearer.

In terms of all the fonts belong to customized font, if there are four numbers as a suffix, the first two numbers stand for the height of the graph-text, and the later two numbers stand for the width of the graph-text. If there are only two numbers as a suffix, it means that the height and the width of the graph-text are the same.

②System font is a font attached to computer system. The fonts belong to system font are the same with those in Word Doc. We recommend that clients select customized font when the height of the

graph-text in Chinese or English or other European languages is 16 points or less than 16 points.

（2）If you need to compose picture, click the icon to import

the needed picture. Or you can click the icon , and then click the right

mouse key in the box.

As you can see, there are two icons, Import Icon and New Icon. You can import

the needed pictures by clicking one of them. Look at the interface.

Click the icon after adjusting the position of the picture.

After finishing composing the pictures of front board, you can click the icon

to export the information to the back board and side board if all the

displayed information on the front board, back board and side board are the same.

Note: ① The ways of composing picture are similar no matter which act mode is selected. ② If you need to continue editing the information of other routes, click the route

number in the icon , and then edit the information in accordance with the aforesaid methods.

8. To Browse Picture

Click the icon to browse the editorial pictures. Please refer to below

picture:

9.To Save Date

Click the icon to save the editorial information. A TP5 file will be

generated. When the file is saved for the first time, you will be prompted to name the file according to your needs. When the file is saved, a folder of the same name as the file will be automatically generated for storage of information, including pictures.

Note: (1) It is advised that client clicks the icon to save the editorial

information frequently when you edit the information, which can avoid the condition that computer crashes or electricity goes off.

(2) “11.TP5” file and “11” folder

shall be placed under the same directory; or otherwise when you open “11.TP5”, you will not find any picture that has been used, but blank.

10.To Export Date

Click the icon . The interface would emerge as follows.

“.TD5” file will be automatically generated. It is advised that the file name

inputted in the box and the saved file name are the same, which

is convenient for looking for the exported date. The icon of the exported file would emerge as follows.

Note: it is advised that the following three files be placed under the same directory, and when the data is exported for the first time, the “11.TD5” file will be automatically saved into the “11” folder; it is necessary to cut “11.TD5” file and paste it under the same directory of the folder for convenient retrieval.
