*All dogs were treated with SPL® and antibiotics for initial 6 weeks. At week 6, antibiotics were discontinued and SPL® treatment alone significantly controlled pyoderma.
Significantly better response by dogs treated with SPL® in reduction of recurrent pyoderma compared to placebo.*
PROVEN EFFICACY AND SAFETY
Demonstrated performance as documented in the American Journal of Veterinary Research.
Evaluation was conducted in a double-blind placebo-controlled study at the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Wisconsin-Madison.
In clinical use, side-effects were very rarely reported, including minimal reactions at site of injection such as redness, itching and/or swelling.

(PAMP) PATHOGEN-ASSOCIATED MOLECULAR PATTERNproposed method of natural immunity stimulation
Dogs with compromised immune systems cannot rely on their innate immunity to protect themselves from staphylococcal skin infection.
SPL® strengthens the innate immune response to staphylococcal species by stimulating phagocytosis and activating an anti-staph response.

Staphage Lysate (SPL)®
NATURALLY DERIVED PRODUCTMade of staphylococcal cellular components, bacteriophage and
beef heart infusion broth. Additionally, it is preservative free and has no known contraindications.
REDUCES THE RISK OF ANTIBIOTIC RESISTANT STAPH
Designed for long-term use eliminating any gaps in protection. Reduces infection by opportunistic bacteria, breaking the
never-ending cycle of allergy to infection and reducing the risk of antibiotic resistant bacteria due to repeated rounds of antibiotics.
EASY TO FOLLOW DOSING SCHEDULEDogs are commonly treated with the same dose size of SPL®.
Slight adjustments can be made for extremely large or small dogs. Following the initial 12 weeks of bi-weekly treatment, a simple protocol is followed with treatments tapered until an optimal
maintenance schedule is reached.
BACKED BY EXPERT SUPPORTFree consultations with a board certified veterinary
dermatologist are available to answer any of your clinical questions and guide you through the treatment process.
