MIOSHA and MTMIC hereby form an Alliance to provide MTMIC members and others with infor-mation, guidance, and access to training resources that will help them protect the health and safety of workers, particularly by reducing and preventing exposure to workplace hazards that occur in MTMIC member industries, and understand the rights of workers and the responsibilities of employ-ers under the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Act (MIOSH Act).

Promote the dialog of Safety and Health in the State of Michigan:

• Act as a resource for all MTMIC member companies to help forge innovative solutions in the workplace or to provide input on safety and health issues.

• To convene or participate in forums, roundtable discussions, or stakeholder meetings with MI-OSHA to help forge innovative solutions in the workplace or to provide input on manufacturing safety and health issues.

Outreach and Communication:

• MTMIC will promote MIOSHA’s Consultation, Education and Training (CET) services to their policyhold-ers, which include companies in high hazard industries that are included in MIOSHA’s Strategic Plan.

• MTMIC’s loss control department will participate in and promote the MIOSHA Training Institute (MTI)and promote MIOSHA’s alliance program activities.

• MTMIC and MIOSHA CET will jointly develop industry/hazard specific Fact Sheets that will be shared on MIOSHA’s website.

Training and Education:

• Encourage members to participate in CET safety and health hazard surveys and consultation with ap-plicable training for management and hourly employees as needed.

January 19, 2006 – The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) and the Michi-gan Tooling Association Workers’ Compensation Fund (MTA WCF) signed a formal alliance today to protect the safety and health of Michigan’s metalworking industry workers. The MIOSHA program is part of the Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Growth (DLEG).

February 21, 2013 - The Manufacturing Technology Mutual Insurance Company (MTMIC) and the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) signed a formal alliance to offer assistance to MTMIC policyholders, including training, on site consultation, and providing promotional & educational materials. The MIOSHA program is part of the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).

September 19, 2014 - MIOSHA and MTMIC jointly developed and submitted two Fact Sheets for posting to the MIOSHA website.

June 1-4, 2015 - MTMIC hosted the 2015 Virtual AIHce Conference at their Farmington Hills, MI office to enable MIOSHA Staff to obtain certification maintenance points and technical training remotely.

October 15, 2015 - The manufacturing and technology-based business program, Manufacturing Technology Mutual Insurance Company (MTMIC) renewed its alliance with the Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) today to provide MTMIC members and others with information, guidance and training to reduce and prevent exposure to workplace hazards. The MIOSHA program is a part of the Michi-gan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).
