PARKING AT MEADOWS Student safety is a high priority at Meadows School and we encourage parents to reinforce street
safety with their children. Brandon By law officers monitor and assist the school division regarding
school parking and in order to prevent being ticketed and help keep our students safe we request
that parents adhere to the parking signs in front of the school and not park in the Staff Parking Lot
at the south end of the school. If you have questions regarding parking please do not hesitate to
contact the office at 204-729-3988. We appreciate your co-operation in this matter.
A reminder to parents/guardians of bus students, please remember to contact the Transportation Office if your son/daughter will be absent from riding the bus. Parents may communicate by either calling 204-729-3975 or by sending a note with the student for their driver. Please also contact the Transportation Department if a bus student’s contact information has changed, if a friend is riding with them, or if other pick up/drop off arrangements are being made. The safety and well-being of our students is priority for the Brandon School Division, your communica-tion is appreciated.

PARENT VOLUNTEERS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS
It is BSD policy that volunteers complete a Criminal Record Check and
a Child Abuse Registry Check. If you are planning to volunteer in any
capacity for the Brandon School Division these checks must be com-
pleted. The following procedures are in place for volunteer Criminal
Record Checks:
1. Criminal Records Check(CRC): Volunteers who reside in
Brandon are to go to the local Police station for their check while
volunteers living outside of Brandon are to go to the RCMP station
in their area. Take two pieces of identification with you, one
being a photo ID. (Volunteer letters are available in the office.)
2. Child Abuse Registry Check(CARC): Forms are to be obtained
from the school secretary and completed in the presence of the
school secretary. Two pieces of identification are required for
the check. This form will be forwarded to the BSD who will
forward it on for processing.
If you have questions regarding the CRC or CARC process please
contact the school office at 204-729-3988.
