Walkabout Your Business TM is an innovative business literacy program designed for understanding. The Commonwealth Bank of Australia provides sponsorship to Ambrose Indigenous Business to deliver the program to Indigenous Australians in support of their Reconciliation Action Plan. Walkabout Your Business TM was developed to overcome poor levels of business and financial literacy in Indigenous Australia. The program uses educational tools and training methods to complement a pace and lead approach that matches the clients needs. Story telling and imagery is used to explain business concepts and take the learner through a capacity building program with skills and knowledge mapped out across the Business Life Cycle. Thinkabout Your Decision TM is a governance training program which identifies the 10 most common reasons boards fail and provides knowledge and understanding of the skills and practices required to avoid them. The program utilises educational mats, visual and mixed media education tools to explain contemporary governance principles and business administration practices. Thinkabout Your Decision TM allows existing Boards to measure the capability of their members and take a proactive approach to building their capacity in good governance. Map Mat App The Ambrose team’s approach is driven by the need to ensure the client understands the advice given. In producing the suite of products, Ambrose have developed a production process referred to as their ‘Map Mat App’ process. The content is mapped out in a logical framework, skills and competencies identified and converted to visual educational mats, content digitised with mix media/animation in preparation for production of an app with a competency testing tool.
