SNHU is excited to help you transition to life at a US university with SNHU First-year International Transition (SNHUfit). For five full days before international orientation, you’ll get the opportunity to make new friends, get to know your advisors and professors, and navigate how you “fit” perfectly into our SNHU community. Together, we will explore the city of Manchester, the outdoor beauty of New Hampshire, and prepare you for the academic and social life you’ll have during your time at SNHU.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS• Learn to navigate SNHU and experience Manchester

• Establish deep and meaningful relationships with peers and mentors
• Engage in workshops and faculty- and staff-led academic preparation

Enrollment is limited to the first 15 students and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Because SNHUfit is a cohort program, all accepted participants are expected to be in Manchester by the morning of Friday, August 23, 2019 and have no other activities or commitments outside of the program until after Wednesday, August 28, 2019. All participants are required to live on campus during the program. Please make travel arrangements accordingly.

FRIDAY NIGHT: CHECK-IN AND SOCIAL ACTIVITY • Check into dormitory • Meet other new students • Attend Welcome Party
SATURDAY: EXPLORE MANCHESTER • Visit points of interest in the city • Learn the local bus system • Experience a scavenger hunt
SUNDAY: HIKE IN WHITE MOUNTAINS • Sightsee in New England • Explore the natural beauty of New Hampshire • Participate in team building activities
MONDAY: EXPLORE ACADEMIC AND CAMPUS RESOURCES • Attend sample lectures • Participate in class discussions and group work • “Find your tribe” on campus • Gain a practical understanding of the academic environment
TUESDAY: SERVICE LEARNING PROJECT • Contribute to a community non-profit • Meet local American and Manchester residents • Learn about regional development projects
WEDNESDAY: ACADEMIC WORKSHOPS • Receive tips on how to organize your assignments • Understand how to read a syllabus • Learn how to plan from a semester-long perspective
