• Daily Check– Fuel (minimum ¾)– Blade guard in good

repair.– Blade securely attached

to saw.– Blade shows no signs of

cracks or other defects.– Saw is ready to start.

• Starting Procedures:– Hold the saw firmly on

the ground with the blade clear. (The cutting blade rotates when the engine is started)

– Press in the decompression valve.

• Starting Procedures:– Make sure the STOP

switch is in the left position.

– Cold Engine - Pull the choke out completely.

– Warm Engine – Pull the choke out and then push it in again.

• Starting Procedures:– Press the air purge

repeatedly until fuel fills the diaphragm (about 6 times).

– Slowly pull the cord until you feel resistance, now quickly and powerfully pull the cord.

• Starting Procedures:– Cold Engine - After two

or three pulls, press the choke control back in.

– Push the decompression valve back in and pull the starter handle until the engine starts.

• Starting Procedures:– When engine starts,

quickly apply full throttle to automatically disengage fast idle.

– To stop the saw, move the STOP switch to the right.

• Operating Procedures:– Keep RPM’s high so blade doesn’t bog down in the

cut.– If your blade begins to bog down, quickly raise it a bit

from the point of contact and let the RPM’s spin back up without removing the blade from the cut.

– Try to keep the blade straight and perpendicular to the cut.

– Some pressure can be applied to increase cut speed.

cracked or other defective teeth.

• Starting Procedures:– Hold the saw firmly on

– Set the chain brake.

– Press down the trigger lockout and pull throttle trigger at the same time.

throttle in that position set the master control lever to

set up with a Terminator rescue chain. Identified by the double raker.

– The Terminator chain is for ventilation, garage doors, and other cutting at structure fires.

– This chain is NOT for cutting tree limbs.

• Safety and Training with the Rescue Saw:– Full PPE must be worn, including eye protection
