Dear Friends ~ The 60+ got off to a great start this year, and I’m looking forward to more warm and wonderful Wednesdays in November and December. To help stave off the colder temperature, there will be catered food every Wednesday in November and December, soup and salad as well as our Thanksgiving and Christmas buffets. I hope to continue serving soup every week into the new year and bring back the Bring Your Own Lunches in the Spring. I’ll keep you posted. (See page 2 for the lunch schedule.) Highlights of September and October included celebrating Jobe Forte’s 100th birthday and a memorable Oktoberfest with the double-reed woodwind ensemble, The New York Kammermusiker, who filled the Loft with strains of rarely performed classical and Renaissance compositions. We have more unique offerings in November and December, as well as old favorites. Maestro Kenneth Dake’s organ concert on November 4th will introduce us to the glory of Marble’s much-anticipated new organ. Fa- vorite Frank Gauthier also returns with his latest and greatest Ed Sullivan show. The Christmas season will include a delightful reading by Scott Ramsey of Truman Capote’s touching childhood memoir, A Christmas Memory. We’ll also be treated to some jolly jazz by songstress Keisha St. Joan. Of course, the holidays wouldn’t be complete without our Thanks- giving worship service and the Christmas Staff Revue. With gratitude I look forward to fellowshipping with you. Blessings for a bountiful Thanksgiving and a Holy Christmas season!
