Greetings Artists! I’m Marcie Kronwall (or Mrs. K. as many students callme) and I love being the art teacher at Ponderosa. I’ve been teaching art allover Thompson School District for the last four years and I’m thrilled to fi-nally have a school and an art room to call home.

I have a great husband and three terrific, grown children. When I’m not teaching, I’m an actress! I’ve performed inmany plays in Fort Collins and Loveland.

In the art room we celebrated artistic thinking and enjoy working hard andhaving fun creating art. Making art allows us to think critically, express our ideas in many ways and better understand the world around us. I’m proud of the artists at Ponderosa.

The Schools on the Move Challenge continuesthrough the end of the month! The Schools onthe Move Challenge is a program to help in-

crease the amount of exercise students, teach-ers and school staff get each day and eachweek. Research shows that daily exercise (atleast 60 minutes most days) helps reduce therisk of health problems, helps kids to get bet-ter grades, to focus in class, and to have bettermemory skills. Thank you for your efforts inhelping our students form healthy habits!
