The 2008 District Conference will feature Hospitality Suites hosted by each AREA on both Friday and Saturday nights. Hospitality suites are a great place for club members and their guests to meet prior to the nights’ festivities.
Our official "Party Patio" is the 2nd floor deck overlooking the pool.
Friday and Saturday night’s themes are the Internationality of Rotary. Friday’s night program is The Rotary Foundation Casino Royale – Music, Entertainment & Gambling. Saturday night’s theme will include the Club President's Recognition and a Grand Show of Circus Daring and Skill, featuring former Artists of CIRQUE DU SOLEIL.
We know how creative you can be, so we encourage you to decorate your Hospitality Suite in an International theme. Your food, drink and clothing can represent any region of the world - Mexican, Chinese, German, French, Texan, etc., etc.
Be original, have fun and let the good times roll! They will "roll" on Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Here are the details:
1. How are the Hospitality Suites organized? Meet with your Area Assistant Governor to plan your Area’s Hospitality Suite.
2. How does an Area register for a Hospitality Suite? If the Area wishes to participate the Assistant Governor will complete the registration information and fax, snail mail or e-mail it to Cecelia Babkirk (contact info below).
3. How much does it cost to reserve a room for each night? Hospitality Suite rooms will cost $99 for each night.
4. How will rooms be assigned? Hospitality Suites will be assigned to Areas based on registration from each Area as of March 31st. Be sure to register before
March 31st!
5. Where are the Hospitality Suites located? All Hospitality Suites will be located on the 2nd floor, near the elevators, adjacent to the pool. The District has reserved all the rooms on both sides of the hall adjacent to the Balcony/Patio.
6. Can the furniture be moved out or rearranged to accommodate a better Hospitality setting? Yes, the DoubleTree management has agreed to work with us to accomplish this.
7. Can we bring our own food and refreshments to serve? Yes, the DoubleTree has been very accommodating but we have promised to be responsible in return.
8. Should we register for a Hospitality Suite directly with the hotel? No, the District has reserved the rooms. You will be asked to register after the rooms are assigned.
9. Your Area Assistant Governor will coordinate Hospitality Suite Reservations.

DISTRICT GOLF TOURNAMENT
30 January 2008
Dear Club Presidents:
As I’m sure you are aware, District Governor, Dick Lohmiller has designated any net proceeds from this years District Golf Tournament to go to benefit Camp RYLA.
Therefore, we are requesting, pleading, suggesting, asking (your choice of adverbs) that each club provide a hole/tee/green sponsor (minimum of two) at $100 each. You can ask each of your members to be a sponsor, and be sure and get those insurance agents to come forward. The plaque at the hole will show your member’s name, business, and your club’s name, so it will be good advertising, as well as a wonderful way of supporting one of the Districts best programs.
As an added bonus, each sponsor will be recognized by name, business, and club at the Camp with a special announcement at the Thursday B-B-Q 19 June. Sponsors are welcome to attend this fun event.
This program has made a significant difference in the lives of thousands of future leaders over the years. You can feel great that your money will go to support such a worthy program, so please act now as our time is short. The deadline for ads/club sponsors is April 16, 2007.
Please remember we are asking that each club support Camp RYLA with a minimum of two sponsors.
With Great Appreciation!
