The place to be during March at the Tower is our March Madness Zone. This year, during

the SEC & American Athletic Conference tournaments and into the National Championship

tournament, the daytime games will be shown on one of the two televisions in our WiFi area

located in the South Lobby. In the event that any of our local teams are playing, both televi-

sions will be tuned in and special refreshments will be provided.

This year the American Athletic Conference tournament begins on March 10th and ends on

the 14th. The SEC Tournament begins on March 11th and runs through the 15th and the

National Championship tournament begins with Selection Sunday on the 15th.

NCT will hold a special drawing in the lounge for a chance to win either UK or UL fan merchandise. The drawing will take

place on March 27th at 12:00 noon. Stop by the lounge area to fill out your entry form. You must work within the Tower

to be eligible; one entry per person, please.

Louisville’s Fight For Air Climb was a big success at National City Tower on February 7th. National City Tower teamed up with the American Lung Association to host the city’s vertical, timed climb up the building’s 38 flights of stairs. The event raised money to improve lung health and prevent lung disease through educa-tion, advocacy and research. The American Lung Association raised over $52,000 for the cause.

In order to prepare for this severe weather, NCT will hold their annual tornado drill on March 18th. Specific information will be pro-vided via desk drop about the drill later in the month.

Louisville Metro Government has initiated a citywide system called Code Red to keep citizens updated during emergencies. The system uses a variety of methods including text alerts, emails and phone calls to warn citizens about potentially life-threatening events, including severe weather.

When a tornado warning is sounded, please follow these building procedures:

Move away from the perimeter of the building and any part of your work area where there is glass.

Go to the center corridor of the building and sit down.

Do not get on the elevators. Stay where you are until the danger has passed.

Do not go to the lobby.

In the event of a broadcast of a tornado warning in our immediate area, a warning will be announced on the public address system within the building.

After an “all clear” has been sounded, check for any possible injuries, and take appropriate action.

Center and the University of Louisville hosts a portion of the 2nd and 3rd rounds of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.
