Greetings all, members and friends Thank you to all who supported Mike Mayes and Sandi Clark in their recent visit. We are truly blessed in the way of being given great gifts with the won-derful visiting mediums and speakers over the years to enhance our spiritual knowledge and unfoldment and add to our skills on this journey of ours. Congrats to all who take advantage of these gifts. Please remember that our Reading Day has recommenced on the fourth Saturday of each month from 8.30am through to 1.30pm. We do our best to accommodate all those who come along for a reading but please keep in mind that some days we fill our quota and we ask you bear with us and have patience. The Committee’s job is not always an easy one but with the assistance of you our members it becomes a much easier task in all areas. Thanks to all that help out. At the end of this month the season of Easter is upon us, the time of renewal & new beginnings I do hope you all have a safe and Happy Easter with lots of Chocolate remembering a minute on the lips and years on the hips. Upcoming Events & Reports
Coffee Club
What an absolutely fabulous start to our Coffee Club gather-
ing for 2018. We had 16 people arrive, thinking we would follow the sugges-tion to gather in the kitchen, was a little cramped so back into the hall next month. A wonderful surprise to see all our lovely friends turn up as well as the return of Mark Jolly and Maria. We welcomed two new people to the group and hoped they enjoyed this lovely afternoon. This is what the coffee club is about a social and relaxed atmosphere to share light refreshments and discussions on many spiritual topics. We try to keep it simple, as we know there are very wise people in our Church but after our busy week we just need to wind down and relax in our discussion group. Our group is growing and we need to remind our selves to limit our talks so everyone gets a chance to speak and not go into the technical side of the topic up for discus-sion as this takes up a lot of time & energy and maybe it is better left to do at a workshop level. We also have our Talking Stick donated by our member Alva which keeps us all in line. Our discussion this month was on Real or Vivid Dreams, slow to start but the group really got into various forms of dreams and experiences. These ses-sions can lead to other topics for one of our future meetings.
Our next Coffee Club gathering will take on a different note with an Author coming to talk to us about his new book. The poster is on the Noticeboard. The Author is Anthony Lang and his discussion will be about how he wrote the book: “The Ness Fireside Book of God Ghost Ghouls and other true stories” under the pseudonym of Lachlan Ness. After many years of intending to write it. I had my first spiritual experience in Leeton NSW where I grew up. I was aged eight years at the time, and since then periodically, have had other experi-ences. It has meant that unlike so many Christians, I don’t have a closed mind about people’s beliefs and experiences and may well have had similar experiences myself. I was ordained as a minister of the Presbyterian church of Australia in 1970and over the past near fifty years, people (including pa-rishioners) have told me of spiritual encounters, from ghosts to premonitions and many others. The ones I believe to be true (many from people I still know and respect) I have included in the book; sometimes as they’ve written or told me of them.”

“I was on a very crowded bus and an old woman with a walker gets on. All the other passengers proceed to file on and take up the remaining standing places but she stands close to me, staring me in the eyes. After 5 minutes of this I kindly ask: ‘May I help you?’ She replies, “Yes, I have been waiting here for 5 minutes now and you have not offered to give me your seat”. I answered: “Can you give me a good reason why I should?” “I can give you 5. I am an old woman of 86, I am nearly paralysed in my left leg, my hip has been replaced twice, my husband died 3 days ago and every second I stand up is pure agony. Can you give me as many reasons why you deserve that seat?” Only one reason: “I’m the driver”. Wife: “There is trouble with the car. It has water in the carburettor.” Hubby: “Water in the carburettor? That’s ridiculous” Wife: “I tell you the car has water in the carburettor.” Hubby: “You don’t even know what a carburettor is. I’ll check it out. Where’s the Car? Wife: “In the river” From Genesis: “And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth.” Then He made the earth round....and He laughed and laughed and Laughed
Obituary which appeared in NY Times
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as Knowing when to come in out of the rain Why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn’t always fair; And maybe it was my fault Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don’t spend more than you earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of 6 year old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals re-ceived better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn’t defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap. And promptly awarded a huge settle-ment. Common Sense was preceded in death - by his Parents Truth and Trust - by his wife, Discretion -by his daughter, Responsibility
Laughter
Laughter was given by the Gods to man and it was one of their choicest gifts. No animal
can laugh, nor does it need tom,, for it lives in the harnmony of the purely instinctive life. It is only man whose possession of an ego induces stresses and strains which cannot be
avoided and for the healing of which, therefore, the Gods gave him the supreme gift. Time
and again it will save us when otherwise all would be lost. He who cannot laugh, he whose
devotions are too serious for the healing waves of laughter, had better look out; there are
breakers ahead.

Book Review
“On Living in Harmony with the Spirit” by White Eagle,
Paperback, 128 pages.
White Eagle publishing Trust.
This one is about spiritual law, love and forgiveness, the transmuting of karma and
the opportunities it brings for the individual.
Yes, opportunities, for karma, we are told, should not be seen as punishment or
even mechanical suffering to be stoically endured. Rather, it is a manifestation of the
conditions we ourselves have created, recently or long ago.
It is really Divine Love at work—an unquenchable, unfathomable love, bringing
yet another opportunity, perhaps the latest of many, to settle an outstanding debt and
progress spiritually.
If it were merely a matter of forgiveness, as orthodoxy teaches, lessons would re-
main unlearned and we should do likewise yet again. It is only by learning from our er-
rors, righting wrongs where possible and forgiving others that we are forgiven.
Then we are truly free to tread a higher spiritual pathway; happier indeed but—
more important—wiser because the more enlightened we become, the less sorrowful
life appears, as with the seemingly tragic passing of a loved one.
We cannot know all in our present state, but we can at least comprehend something
of God’s purpose. What appeared so tragic might well have been planed and
Necessary experience to be shared by both patient and carer.
However it was, we are assured no accident. All events are either planned or sim-
ply allowed they do not just happen.
Also, we are told, it is we ourselves who have chosen this life. When presented
with our karma, we can opt for an easier or a more difficult pathway. The more difficult
it is, the greater the opportunities for working out our karma and making progress.
No one forces us to return either. We are here because we wanted to be. However
arduous life might seem, however formidable and tearful, it is we who chose it. If we
had wanted an easier time, we could have had it, and more karma would remain for the
future.
Neither are we alone. There is help and guidance every step of the way. We have
only to ask and accept what we are given.
This is our choice, our free will, as individuals. Not the freedom, as we will even-
tually discover, of doing as we please, but of surrendering and becoming one with the
will of the Great Spirit.
Here White Eagle quotes the Nazarene. As usual, he is content with a simple say-
ing that serves to illustrate so much- “Not a sparrow falls to the ground without your Fa-
ther, and even the very hairs of your head are all numbered”.
“Your need is known,” White eagle tells us, “whether it be physical or spiritual.
Everything which happens to you has a purpose.
“If you could see a diagram of life in the Halls of Wisdom in the spirit world you
would see a most intricate criss-cross pattern with innumerable little lines crossing and
crossing again and again...a most amazingly intricate plan.

Copper Wire
After having dug to a depth of 10 feet last year, British scientists found traces of copper wire dat-ing back 200 years and came to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone net-work more than 150 year ago. Not to be outdone by the British, in the weeks that followed, an American archaeologist dug to a depth of 20 feet and shortly after, a story pub-lished in the New York Times: “American archae-ologists finding traces of 250-year-old copper wire, have concluded that their ancestors already had an advanced high-tech communications net-work 50 years earlier than the British”. One week later, Australia’s Northern Territory Times, reported the following:- “After digging as deep as 30 feet in his back yard in Tennant Creek, Northern Territory, Bill Brown, a self-taught archaeologist, reported that he found absolutely zilch ...nothing at all. Bill has therefore concluded that 250 year ago, Australia had already gone wireless.....” Should Make us all Feel Proud to be Australian
