A Letter From The Director

When I saw Cn.rlahis on Broadway, it was one of the only

completely original shows of the time, it combines two of my

favorite things in the world - musical theater and murder

mystery. 1 immediately fell in love, and it has become one of

my favorite shows. It is an escape from reality, a chance to

smile, relax, and get lost in a fun story.

1 want to take this opportunity to thank the people who were

by my side throughout this process, who reminded me why I love this show, and

why I love theater at SLOC. My producers, Mary Darcy and Joanne Peal, have

given me shoulders to lean on from day one. Music Director James Alexander,

Assistant Music Director Melissa Narusky, and Choreographer Laura Marra have

brought their unique talents to bring this production to life. Of course, 1 wouldn't

be doing any of this without the constant support of my babykins, Katie Weinberg.

1 am so happy to be back at SLOC for its' 9D' season. 1 have worked with this

company as an actor, set designer, master carpenter, and director, and I continue

to return because of the sense of community and quality of productions. 1 am

proud to be a part of this wildly successful season.

My hope that when you watch this show is that you are filled with the same

sense of enjoyment and charm that 1 felt when 1 first saw it. After seeing this

wonderfully talented cast, backed by a fantastic crew and orchestra, Curtains

may just become one of your favorites too!
