Preschool Registration 2020-2021 Please be reminded that registration is now open to all. Please share this information with families who may be interested in having their children attend our wonderful school.

Preschool Pictures Days

Lifetouch photographers will be at St. John’s on the following dates:

Picture information has been sent home. Please re-turn the form on or before your child’s picture day. If you did not receive a picture form, please contact Patty Mazziott in the school office.

PK4 Seniors will also have a cap & gown picture taken in addition to the individual and class picture. In mid to late March, the photo package will be ready to view and purchase at that time.

Grandparents/Special Relative Days

Grandparents or another special relative may visit your child’s class on the following days:

Tue., Mar. 17th - Ms. Cathy’s PK3 T/Th Juniors Ms. Barb’s PK4 M-F Seniors Wed., Mar. 18th - Ms. Christy’s PK3 MWF Jrs. Ms. Kelly Ann’s PK4 MWF Srs. Please note that there is a schedule change on these days. Please plan to have your preschooler come to school with their grandparents/special relative at 9:50. Activities for the preschoolers and grandparents/special relatives will be from 10:00 to 11:30. Please do not bring your child to school at 9:00. March 18th is a regular school day for Ms. Barb’s PK4 class.

The children will follow their normal dismissal time @ 11:30 or 1:00. If you would like your PK4 student to leave at 11:30 with their grandparent/special relative, please email your child’s teacher and Patty Mazziott giving permission. Also, due to safety & fire regulations, our class cannot accommodate a large amount of peo-ple, so please only two grandparents per child. Only if grandparents are unable to be here, another special relative is welcome to come in their place. If your child is registered for Little Angels, there is no change to his/her schedule.

Soccer Shots Spring Session

Registration for St. John the Baptist Catholic Elementary School

Registration for the 2020-2021 school year is now open to all. St. John’s offers full or half day kindergarten. Our classrooms are student-centered, building a strong aca-demic foundation that develop students to be life-long learners. We also offer specialized learning support where needed, as well as weekly classes in PE, Art, Tech-nology Skills, Music, Library and Spanish all of which con-tribute to the formation of a well-rounded child. Tradi-tional values and moral teachings are shared daily to help nurture responsible, compassionate children who make sound choices. St. John’s students score in the top 25th percentile in na-tional norms and all of our teachers are PA certified. We are accredited by Middle States Association of Elemen-tary and Secondary Schools. St. John’s PTO is hav-ing a Family Bowling Night at Laser Alleys in York on Sunday, March 8, 2020 from 6pm - 8pm.

School Closings and Delays

In the event of inclement weather, we follow the South-ern York County School District for delays and cancella-tions. We have built snow days into our schedule.

You may also check WGAL TV 8 for school closing commu-nication. Our closing will be listed under York County as St. John the Baptist Catholic School. Please note that this includes St. John’s Preschool and Little Angels. If the school district has a two hour delay, please continue to watch because sometimes they may decide to close at the last minute.

You will be notified directly through Notify which is our phone/text/email notification system.

You may also check the Preschool voicemail for delays or cancellations. A message will be posted on our voice mail (717) 235-3525 – extension 230 by approximately 7:00 a.m.

Little Angels Policy: If school closes due to inclement weather, Little Angels will be closed. If school has a two-hour delay, Little Angels will open at 9:30 am. If school is dismissed early due to inclement weather, all children must be picked up within one hour of the elementary school dismissal or be subject to a late fee.

Buttery Goodness Fundraiser!

Throughout the year St. John’s offers many fundraisers. We strive to make a variety available so something appeals to everyone. Thank you for your previous fundraising purchases. Your support is very much appreciated!

This buttery pastry comes in a variety of flavors and is good to eat any time of day. Orders are due March 18th and the product will be delivered April 1, 2020.

In the event of a delay the preschool schedule will be

modified as outlined below:

Ms. Cathy’s and Ms. Christy’s PK3 Junior M/W/F & T/TH classes (9-11:30) – class will begin at 11:00 a.m. and dismiss @ 1:00 p.m. Ms. Kelly Ann’s Senior class (9-1) – class will begin at 11:00 a.m. and dismiss at 2:00 p.m. Ms. Barb’s Senior class (9-1) – class will begin at 11:00 a.m. and dismiss at 2:00 p.m. Ms. Kim Marchant’s Time for Two’s class (9-11) – class will begin at 11:00 a.m. and dismiss at 1:00 p.m.

Please send a packed lunch to school for your child on

the two hour delay days.
