Weight Loss Support Group
This support group continues to meet weekly on Mon-
day at 1:30 pm at the Senior Scene and we are pleased
to report that we have had great success. We averaged
7 people each week for 2015 and we had a net loss of
119.6 lbs. for the year for the group!!! Actually there
was a loss of 185.5 lbs. and a gain of 65.9 bringing us
to our net loss. BRAVO to all who had a big weight
loss and to some of us that had less success, we still
had a feeling of accomplishment and support.
The meetings have been informal and based on sharing
information and supporting each other. There is an
educational component the last Monday of each month
at 2 pm courtesy of the Dietitian and a Nurse from the
Pine Falls Health Complex. These two professionals
bring good health information for all, not only those
interested in weight loss. Watch the newsletter each
month where we will post the topic for the month. For
this month, being that it is Nutrition Month they will
speak on “Take a 100 Meal Journey,” make small
changes one meal at a time.
We look forward to having you join us.
