It’s time to start planning Trinity’s 2015 Vacation Bible School Program. We need lots of help to plan a great week filled with messages of God’s love for the kids of our congregation and community. Join us on our journey this year!
Save the date! The dates for Vacation Bible School will be changed for 2015. VBS will be held from Monday, July 13th – Friday, July 17th. It’s our hope to attract more children to our program during the month of July.
Our first VBS planning meeting will be on Monday, March 16th at 7pm. Hope to see you there!
If you have any questions, please contact Jen Smith.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry held their monthly meeting on Friday, February 6, 2015. Attendees were: Ann Carter, Val Colasuonno, Barbara Frantz, Dolores Keller, Helen McGarvey, Dot Offer, and Mary Raws. The meeting began at approximately 10:00 a.m., with The Lord’s Prayer.
We received the following: One Lap Blanket from Jean Krips One Lap Blanket from Mary Raws One Prayer Shawl from Barbara Anconetani
Cathedral Kitchen Donations: One scarf from Helen McGarvey
Prayer Shawls were given to: Jean Krips -- We miss you and pray for a speedy recovery. Diane Kochon Jean Kite Karen Theisen Corresponding Secretary, Barbara Anconetani was unable to attend but sent an updated list that indicated a thank you had been sent to Florence Bowers for the hats, scarves and mittens donated for the Cathedral Kitchen project. In addition, Barbara sent a note of appreciation to Barbara and Mike Dunda for their donation to our Ministry. Mary Raws read a thank you received from Joanne Thornley for sending Jean Kite a Prayer Shawl and another from the Youth Group for the 42 pocket crosses made for the treatment center at New Hope. The crosses were made by Dolores Keller and Mary Raws. Mary Raws, Baptismal Historian, reported that there was one baptism scheduled for February. She also reported that she was actively seeking a new storage cabinet but had not yet found one to suit our purpose. We had been presented with a notice on a new Outreach Mission to feed the hungry in Camden by Dolly Gibelyou. It was suggested that perhaps we could donate socks, water, and some snack bars. This is a new endeavor and we agreed to offer a helping hand. Val Colasuonno gave the closing reading, Psalm 143:5. Our next meeting will be on Friday, March 6, 2015, and all are invited to join us. We adjourned the meeting at 10:55 a.m. Val Colasuonno Vice President Prayer Shawl Ministry May God Hold You in the Palm of His Hand”

Greetings in Christ
In the musical “My Fair Lady” there’s a song that goes “The rain in Spain falls mainly in the plains” except in our case the rain in Runnemede falls on our parking lot and ends up in our basement in our newer addition. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVmU3iANbgk
We have had a number of heavy rains of 2 inches or more this winter. Yes – it is better than snow, but it is really causing us a bad headache to keep it under control.
I’d like to thank everyone personally who helped that Sunday morning in January to stop the flooding in our basement. We finally finished cleaning up at 6 p.m.
Even though it was a difficult time, we still enjoyed the fellowship and teamwork to finish the job.
The following week, several members of the property committee recaulked outside in the parking lot near the main entrance to stop the flow of water into the building . . . and it worked! We managed to stop 99% of the flow of water into the storage area under the stairway; however water still gets in through the classroom.
If we get a break in the weather, we will try to seal up more of the parking lot.
On a positive note, we’ve had several work days and many projects have been completed. Our big accomplishment was getting the storage cleaned. Thanks to all who came to help clean it out. It really looks terrific.
We have new lights in our kitchen and serving area in addition to a fresh coat of paint. We are all set for our Lenten Soup Suppers. There are also new floor mats in the kitchen of our kitchen volunteers.
We recently passed inspection on our new smoke detection system in the sanctuary. We did not pass our regular fire inspection. There are some items that need to be addressed at 25 Knight (Food Pantry) – to be in compliance.
Be on the lookout for our next workday in March. Our job list never ends.
Thanks again to all that have been coming out to help. Newcomers are always welcome.
Christ’s Servant and Yours,
Richard Greiner and the Property Committee

Dear Brothers and Sisters at Trinity,
Sending you a thank you for the many prayers. The Lord’s hand is upon me. Each day my physical activity has been returning, the speech is causing difficulty still along with the memory. But I trust all that will return in time for all the conversations and requests you have had in my behalf.
Much Love,
Karen Theisen
LUTHERAN CROSSINGS I wasn’t able to attend the February 12th Auxiliary meeting due to
illness, but the new van has been delivered and is ready to be used. The Auxiliary contributed $10,000 to help with the cost. I also understand that the residents were entertained with Love Songs by Tom Delmar on Monday February 16th. Ash Wednesday Services were held on Wednesday February 18th. Residents were also entertained by the Mummers on New Year’s Eve. Thank you to all who have contributed to Trinity’s Lutheran Home Fund Drive this past February. I will give you the total when it is finalized. Up‐Coming Events: March 12‐ Auxiliary Meeting March 17‐ St. Patty’s Day Concert March 19‐ Residents to Perkins for Lunch March 31‐ Residents Birthday Luncheon Sincerely,
